$(q,t)$-chromatic symmetric functions
By using level one polynomial representations of affine Hecke algebras of type $A$, we obtain a $(q,t)$-analogue of the chromatic symmetric functions of unit interval graphs which generalizes Syu Kato's formula for the chromatic symmetric functions of unit interval graphs. We show that at $q=1$, the $(q,t)$-chromatic symmetric functions essentially reduce to the chromatic quasisymmetric functions defined by Shareshian-Wachs, which in particular gives an algebraic proof of Kato's formula. We also give an explicit formula of the $(q,t)$-chromatic symmetric functions at $q=\infty$, which leads to a probability theoretic interpretation of $e$-expansion coefficients of chromatic quasisymmetric functions used in our proof of the Stanley-Stembridge conjecture.
Moreover, we observe that the $(q,t)$-chromatic symmetric functions are multiplicative with respect to certain deformed multiplication on the ring of symmetric functions. We give a simple description of such multiplication in terms of the affine Hecke algebras of type $A$. We also obtain a recipe to produce $(q,t)$-chromatic symmetric functions from chromatic quasisymmetric functions, which actually makes sense for any oriented graphs.
Cell Classification of Gelfand $S_n$-Graphs
Kazhdan and Lusztig introduced the $W$-graphs, which represent the multiplication action of the standard basis on the canonical bais in the Iwahori-Hecke algebra. In the Hecke algebra module, Marberg defined two generalied $W$-graphs, called the Gelfand $W$-graphs. The classification of the molecules of the type $A$ Gelfand $S_n$-graphs are determined by two RSK-like insertion algorithms. We finish the classification of cells by proving that every molecule in the $S_n$-graphs is indeed a cell.
The $q$-deformed random-to-random family in the Hecke algebra
We generalize Reiner--Saliola--Welker's well-known but mysterious family of *$k$-random-to-random shuffles* from Markov chains on symmetric groups to Markov chains on the Type-$A$ Iwahori--Hecke algebras. We prove that the family of operators pairwise commutes and has eigenvalues that are polynomials in $q$ with non-negative integer coefficients. Our work generalizes work of Reiner--Saliola--Welker and Lafrenière for the symmetric group, and simplifies all known proofs in this case.
Dual Murnaghan-Nakayama rule for Hecke algebras in Type $A$
Let $χ^λ_μ$ be the value of the irreducible character $χ^λ$ of the Hecke algebra of the symmetric group on the conjugacy class of type $μ$. The usual Murnaghan-Nakayama rule provides an iterative algorithm based on reduction of the lower partition $μ$. In this paper, we establish a dual Murnaghan-Nakayama rule for Hecke algebras of type $A$ using vertex operators by applying reduction to the upper partition $λ$. We formulate an explicit recursion of the dual Murnaghan-Nakayama rule by employing the combinatorial model of ``brick tabloids", which refines a previous result by two of us (J. Algebra 598 (2022), 24--47).
Higher Rank Macdonald Polynomials
In this paper, we introduce higher rank generalizations of Macdonald polynomials. The higher rank non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials are Laurent polynomials in several sets of variables which form weight bases for higher rank polynomial representations of double affine Hecke algebras with respect to higher rank Cherednik operators. We prove that these polynomials satisfy generalized versions of the classical Knop--Sahi relations and we give combinatorial descriptions of their weights. The higher rank symmetric Macdonald polynomials are defined as Hecke-symmetrizations of the higher rank non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials and form eigenbases for the spaces of Hecke-invariant higher rank polynomials with respect to generalized finite variable Macdonald operators. We prove that the higher rank symmetric Macdonald polynomials satisfy stability properties allowing for the construction of infinite variable limits. These higher rank symmetric Macdonald functions form eigenbases for certain representations of the (positive) elliptic Hall algebra with respect to generalized infinite variable Macdonald operators. Lastly, we show that the higher rank polynomial representations may be used to construct higher rank polynomial representations of the double Dyck path algebra. Noncommutative chromatic quasi-symmetric functions, Macdonald polynomials, and the Yang-Baxter equation

As shown in our paper [JCTA 177 (2021), Paper No. 105305], the chromatic quasi-symmetric function of Shareshian-Wachs can be lifted to ${\bf WQSym}$, the algebra of quasi-symmetric functions in noncommuting variables. We investigate here its behaviour with respect to classical transformations of alphabets and propose a noncommutative analogue of Macdonald polynomials compatible with a noncommutative version of the Haglund-Wilson formula. We also introduce a multi-$t$ version of these noncommutative analogues. For rectangular partitions, their commutative images at $q=0$ appear to coincide with the multi-$t$ Hall-Littlewood functions introduced in [Lett. Math. Phys. 35 (1995), 359]. This leads us to conjecture that for rectangular partitions, multi-$t$ Macdonald polynomials are obtained as equivariant traces of certain Yang-Baxter elements of Hecke algebras. We also conjecture that all (ordinary) Macdonald polynomials can be obtained in this way. We conclude with some remarks relating various aspects of quasi-symmetric chromatic functions to calculations in Hecke algebras. In particular, we show that all modular relations are given by the product formula of the Kazhdan-Lusztig basis.
Classification of irreducible $\mathfrak{u}$-diagonalizable $H_{\ell,n}$-modules
We give a classification for the irreducible $\mathfrak{u}$-diagonalizable representations of the degenerate affine Hecke algebra of type $G(\ell,1,n)$. Precisely we show that such $H_{\ell,n}$-modules are indexed by $\ell$-skew shapes and that the representation indexed by a skew shape $D$ has a basis of eigenvectors indexed by standard Young tableaux of shape $D$.
Non-Archimedean GUE corners and Hecke modules
We compute the joint distribution of singular numbers for all principal corners of a $p$-adic Hermitian (resp. alternating) matrix with additive Haar distribution, the non-archimedean analogue of the GUE (resp. aGUE) corners process. In the alternating case we find that it is a Hall-Littlewood process, explaining -- and recovering as a corollary -- results of Fulman-Kaplan. In the Hermitian case we obtain a `marginal distribution' of a formal Hall-Littlewood process with both positive and negative transition `probabilities'. The proofs relate natural random matrix operations to structural results of Hironaka and Hironaka-Sato on modules over the spherical Hecke algebra, yielding other probabilistic statements of independent interest along the way.

Weak Bruhat interval modules of the $0$-Hecke algebra in type $A$ provide a uniform approach to studying modules associated with noteworthy families of quasisymmetric functions. Recently this kind of modules were generalized from type $A$ to all Coxeter types. In this paper, we give an equivalent description, in a type-independent manner, when two left weak Bruhat intervals in a Coxeter group are descent-preserving isomorphic. As an application, we classify all left weak Bruhat interval modules of $0$-Hecke algebras up to isomorphism, and thereby answer an open question and resolve in the affirmative a conjecture of Jung, Kim, Lee, and Oh. Additionally, for finite Coxeter groups we show that the set of minimum (or maximum) elements of all left weak Bruhat intervals in each descent-preserving isomorphism class forms an interval under the right weak Bruhat order.
A study of nil Hecke algebras via Hopf algebroids
Hopf algebroids are generalizations of Hopf algebras to less commutative settings. We show how the comultiplication defined by Kostant and Kumar turns the affine nil Hecke algebra associated to a Coxeter system into a Hopf algebroid without an antipode. The proof relies on mixed dihedral braid relations between Demazure operators and simple reflections. For researchers new to Hopf algebroids we include additional examples from ring theory, representation theory, and algebraic geometry.
Artin Symmetric Functions
In this paper we construct an algebraic invariant attached to Galois representations over number fields. This invariant, which we call an Artin symmetric function, lives in a certain ring we introduce called the ring of arithmetic symmetric functions. This ring is built from a family of symmetric functions rings indexed by prime ideals of the base field. We prove many necessary basic results for the ring of arithmetic symmetric functions as well as introduce the analogues of some standard number-theoretic objects in this setting. We prove that the Artin symmetric functions satisfy the same algebraic properties that the Artin L-functions do with respect to induction, inflation, and direct summation of representations. The expansion coefficients of these symmetric functions in different natural bases are shown to be character values of representations of a compact group related to the original Galois group. In the most interesting case, the expansion coefficients into a specialized Hall-Littlewood basis come from new representations built from the original Galois representation using polynomial functors corresponding to modified Hall-Littlewood polynomials. Using a special case of the Satake isomorphism in type GL, as formulated by Macdonald, we show that the Artin symmetric functions yield families of functions in the (finite) global spherical Hecke algebras in type GL which exhibit natural stability properties. We compute the Mellin transforms of these functions and relate them to infinite products of shifted Artin L-functions. We then prove some analytic properties of these Dirichlet series and give an explicit expansion of these series using the Hall-Littlewood polynomial functors.

The immaculate Hecke poset was introduced and investigated by Niese, Sundaram, van Willigenburg, Vega and Wang, who established the full poset structure, and determined modules for the 0-Hecke algebra action on immaculate and row-strict immaculate tableaux.
In this paper, we extend their results by introducing the skew immaculate Hecke poset. We investigate the poset structure, and construct modules for the 0-Hecke algebra action on skew immaculate and skew row-strict immaculate tableaux, thus showing that the skew immaculate Hecke poset captures representation-theoretic information analogous to the immaculate Hecke poset. We also describe branching rules for the resulting skew modules.
The monomial expansion formula for Hall-Littlewood $P$-polynomials
We give a Hecke algebra derivation of Macdonald's expansion formula for Hall-Littlewood polynomials in terms of semistandard Young tableaux. This is accomplished by first obtaining a Hecke algebra lift of the expansion coefficients and then proving a generalization of Klostermann's recursions.

We study the geometry and topology of $Δ$-Springer varieties associated with two-row partitions. These varieties were introduced in recent work by Griffin-Levinson-Woo to give a geometric realization of a symmetric function appearing in the Delta conjecture by Haglund-Remmel-Wilson. We provide an explicit and combinatorial description of the irreducible components of the two-row $Δ$-Springer variety and compare it to the ordinary two-row Springer fiber as well as Kato's exotic Springer fiber corresponding to a one-row bipartition. In addition to that, we extend the action of the symmetric group on the homology of the two-row $Δ$-Springer variety to an action of a degenerate affine Hecke algebra and relate this action to a $\mathfrak{gl}_{2}$-tensor space.
Spectrum of random-to-random shuffling in the Hecke algebra
We generalize random-to-random shuffling from a Markov chain on the symmetric group to one on the Type A Iwahori Hecke algebra, and show that its eigenvalues are polynomials in q with non-negative integer coefficients. Setting q=1 recovers results of Dieker and Saliola, whose computation of the spectrum of random-to-random in the symmetric group resolved a nearly 20 year old conjecture by Uyemura-Reyes. Our methods simplify their proofs by drawing novel connections to the Jucys-Murphy elements of the Hecke algebra, Young seminormal forms, and the Okounkov-Vershik approach to representation theory.
On the Hecke Module of $\text{GL}_n(k[[z]])\backslash \text{GL}_n(k((z)))/\text{GL}_n(k((z^2)))$
Every double coset in $\text{GL}_m(k[[z]])\backslash \text{GL}_m(k((z)))/\text{GL}_m(k((z^2)))$ is uniquely represented by a block diagonal matrix with diagonal blocks in $\{1,z, \begin{pmatrix} 1& z\\ 0 &z^i
\end{pmatrix} (i>1)\}$ if $char(k) \neq 2$ and $k$ is a finite field. These cosets form a (spherical) Hecke module $\mathcal{H}(G,H,K)$ over the (spherical) Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}(G,K)$ of double cosets in $K\backslash G/H$, where $K=\text{GL}_m(k[[z]])$ and $H=\text{GL}_m(k((z^2)))$ and $G=\text{GL}_m(k((z)))$. Similarly to Hall polynomial $h_{λ,ν}^μ$ from the Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}(G,K)$, coefficients $h_{λ,ν}^μ$ arise from the Hecke module. We will provide a closed formula for $h_{λ,ν}^μ$, under some restrictions over ${λ,ν,μ}$.

We compare two generalisations of the notion of hook lengths for partitions. We apply this in the context of the modular representation theory of Ariki-Koike algebras. We show that the Schur element of a simple module is divisible by the Schur element of the associated (generalised) core. In the case of Hecke algebras of type $A$, we obtain an even stronger result: the Schur element of a simple module is equal to the product of the Schur element of its core and the Schur element of its quotient.

We show that coefficients in unicellular LLT polynomials are evaluations of Hecke algebra traces at Kazhdan-Lusztig basis elements. We express these in terms of traditional trace bases, induction, and Kazhdan-Lusztig R-polynomials.
Edge Zeta Functions and Eigenvalues for Buildings of Finite Groups of Lie Type
For the Tits building B(G) of a finite group of Lie type G(Fq), we study the edge zeta function, which enumerates edge-geodesic cycles in the 1-skeleton. We show that every nonzero edge eigenvalue becomes a power of q after raising to a bounded exponent k depending on the type of G. The proof is uniform across types using a Hecke algebra approach. This extends previous results for type A and for oppositeness graphs to the full edge-geodesic setting and all finite groups of Lie type.
Link patterns and elliptic Hecke algebra

We compare the following three families of geometric objects: Schubert varieties in flag manifolds, matrix Schubert varieties, and Borel orbits of 2-nilpotent matrices. The first family is governed by permutations, the second by partial permutations, and the last one by "link patterns". These geometric objects admit characteristic classes in equivariant elliptic cohomology obtained within the framework created by Borisov and Libgober. We construct a Hecke-type algebra for computing elliptic classes and extend its action to include partial permutations and linking patterns. A uniform point of view facilitates a better understanding of duality.
