Webification of symmetry classes of plane partitions
Webs are graphical objects that give a tangible, combinatorial way to compute and classify tensor invariants. Recently, [Gaetz, Pechenik, Pfannerer, Striker, Swanson 2023+] found a rotation-invariant web basis for $\mathrm{SL}_4$, as well as its quantum deformation $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_4)$, and a bijection between move equivalence classes of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_4)$-webs and fluctuating tableaux such that web rotation corresponds to tableau promotion. They also found a bijection between the set of plane partitions in an $a\times b\times c$ box and a benzene move equivalence class of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_4)$-webs by determining the corresponding oscillating tableau. In this paper, we similarly find the oscillating tableaux corresponding to plane partitions in certain symmetry classes. We furthermore show that there is a projection from $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_4)$ invariants to $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_r)$ for $r=2,3$ for webs arising from certain symmetry classes.
A reflection principle for nonintersecting paths and lozenge tilings with free boundaries
Okada and Stembridge's Pfaffian formula for the enumeration of families of nonintersecting paths with fixed starting points and unfixed ending points has been widely used to resolve many challenging problems in enumerative combinatorics. In this paper, we present a new formula that complements Okada and Stembridge's Pfaffian formula. The proof is based on a formula for the square of the sum of maximum minors of matrices obtained from Okada's formula. The combinatorial interpretation of the new formula gives a reflection principle for nonintersecting paths. It implies that the enumeration of families of nonintersecting paths with unfixed ending points can be resolved by enumerating families of nonintersecting paths with fixed ending points instead. Using this formula, we also show that the enumeration of lozenge tilings of a large family of regions with free boundaries can be deduced from those without free boundaries. We then provide several applications of this result, including 1) a new family of regions whose tiling generating function is given by a simple product formula, 2) a simpler proof of a factorization theorem for lozenge tilings of hexagons with holes, and 3) new determinant formulas for the volume generating functions of shifted plane partitions of a shifted shape and symmetric plane partitions of a symmetric shape.
Congruences modulo powers of $7$ for $k$-elongated plane partitions
The enumeration $d_k(n)$ of $k$-elongated plane partition diamonds has emerged as a generalization of the classical integer partition function $p(n)$. Congruences for $d_k(n)$ modulo certain powers of primes have been proven via elementary means and modular forms by many authors. Recently, Banerjee and Smoot established an infinite family of congruences for $d_5(n)$ modulo powers of 5. In this paper we have discovered an infinite congruence family for $d_3(n)$ and $d_5(n)$ modulo powers of 7.
MacMahon's Double Vision: Partition Diamonds Revisited
Plane partition diamonds were introduced by Andrews, Paule, and Riese (2001) as part of their study of MacMahon's $Ω$-operator in search for integer partition identities. More recently, Dockery, Jameson, Sellers, and Wilson (2024) extended this concept to $d$-fold partition diamonds and found their generating function in a recursive form. We approach $d$-fold partition diamonds via Stanley's (1972) theory of $P$-partitions and give a closed formula for a bivariate generalization of the Dockery--Jameson--Sellers--Wilson generating function; its main ingredient is the Euler--Mahonian polynomial encoding descent statistics of permutations.
Hybrid Grothendieck polynomials
For a skew shape $λ/μ$, we define the hybrid Grothendieck polynomial $${G}_{λ/μ}(\textbf{x};\textbf{t};\textbf{w}) =\sum_{T\in \mathrm{SVRPP}(λ/μ)} \textbf{x}^{\mathrm{ircont}(T)}\textbf{t}^{\mathrm{ceq} (T)}\textbf{w}^{\mathrm{ex}(T)}$$ as a weight generating function over set-valued reverse plane partitions of shape $λ/μ$. It specializes to \begin{itemize}
\item[(1)] the refined
stable Grothendieck polynomial introduced by Chan--Pflueger by setting all $t_i=0$;
\item[(2)] the refined dual stable Grothendieck polynomial introduced by Galashin--Grinberg--Liu by setting all $w_i=0$. \end{itemize}
We show that ${G}_{λ/μ}(\textbf{x};\textbf{t};\textbf{w})$ is symmetric in the $\textbf{x}$ variables. By building a crystal structure on set-valued reverse plane partitions, we obtain the expansion of ${G}_{λ/μ}(\textbf{x};\textbf{t};\textbf{w})$ in the basis of Schur functions, extending previous work by Monical--Pechenik--Scrimshaw and Galashin. Based on the Schur expansion, we deduce that hybrid Grothendieck polynomials of straight shapes have saturated Newton polytopes. Finally, using Fomin--Greene's theory on noncommutative Schur functions, we give a combinatorial formula for the image of ${G}_{λ/μ}(\textbf{x};\textbf{t};\textbf{w})$ (in the case $t_i=α$ and $w_i=β$) under the omega involution on symmetric functions. The formula unifies the structures of weak set-valued tableaux and valued-set tableaux introduced by Lam--Pylyavskyy. Several problems and conjectures are motivated and discussed.
Colored Vertex Models and Interacting Reverse Plane Partitions
We study the coupling of pairs of reverse plane partitions of the same shape by assigning a certain local interaction between the reverse plane partitions. We show that they are in bijection with a certain Yang-Baxter integrable colored vertex model. By utilizing the Yang-Baxter equation for this colored vertex model, we are able to compute the generating function for the interacting pairs of reverse plane partitions. We also give a bijection between the coupled pairs of reverse plane partitions with the interaction strength set to zero and a single reverse plane partition of the same shape.
The $k$-elongated plane partition function modulo small powers of $5$
Andrews and Paule revisited combinatorial structures known as the $k$-elongated partition diamonds, which were introduced in connection with the study of the broken $k$-diamond partitions. They found the generating function for the number $d_k(n)$ of partitions obtained by summing the links of such partition diamonds of length $n$ and discovered congruences for $d_k(n)$ using modular forms. Since then, congruences for $d_k(n)$ modulo certain powers of primes have been proven via elementary means and modular forms by many authors, most recently Banerjee and Smoot who established an infinite family of congruences for $d_5(n)$ modulo powers of $5$. We extend in this paper the list of known results for $d_k(n)$ by proving infinite families of congruences for $d_k(n)$ modulo $5,25$, and $125$ using classical $q$-series manipulations and $5$-dissections.

We introduce a new symmetry class of both boxed plane partitions and lozenge tilings of a hexagon, called the $\mathbf{r}$-block diagonal symmetry class, where $\mathbf{r}$ is an $n$-tuple of non-negative integers. We prove that the tiling generating function of this symmetry class under a certain weight assignment is given by a simple product formula. As a consequence, the volume generating function of $\mathbf{r}$-block symmetric plane partitions is obtained. Additionally, we consider $(\mathbf{r},\mathbf{r^{\prime}})$-block diagonally symmetric lozenge tilings by embedding the hexagon into a cylinder and present an identity for the signed enumeration of this symmetry class in specific cases. Two methods are provided to study this symmetry class: (1) the method of non-intersecting lattice paths with a modification, and (2) interpreting weighted lozenge tilings algebraically as (skew) Schur polynomials and applying the dual Pieri rule.

A classical result by Kreweras (1965) allows one to compute the number of plane partitions of a given skew shape and bounded parts as certain determinants. We prove that these determinants expand as polynomials with nonnegative coefficients. This result can be reformulated in terms of order polynomials of cell posets of skew shapes, and explains important positivity phenomena about the Ehrhart polynomials of shard polytopes, matroids, and order polytopes. Among other applications, we generalize a positivity statement from Schubert calculus by Fomin and Kirillov (1997) from straight shapes to skew shapes. We show that all shard polytopes are Ehrhart positive and, stronger, that all fence posets, including the zig-zag poset, and all circular fence posets have order polynomials with nonnegative coefficients. We discuss a general method for proving positivity which reduces to showing positivity of the linear terms of the order polynomials. We propose positivity conjectures on other relevant classes of posets.
On refined enumerations of plane partitions of a given shape with bounded entries
In this paper, we consider plane partitions $\text{PP}(λ; m)$ of a given shape $λ$, with entries at most $m$. We prove that the distributions of two statistics on $\text{PP}(λ; m)$ coincide: one is the number of rows containing $0$ and the other is the number of rows containing $m$. We also provide a bijective proof.
Double boxes and double dimers
We give a combinatorial proof of a result in rank 2 Donaldson-Thomas theory, which states that the generating function for certain plane-partition-like objects, called double-box configurations, is equal to a product of MacMahon's generating function for (boxed) plane partitions. In our proof, we first give the correspondence between double-box configurations and double-dimer configurations on the hexagon lattice with a particular tripartite node pairing. Using this correspondence, we apply graphical condensation and double-dimer condensation to prove the result.
On Enumerating Higher Bruhat Orders Through Deletion and Contraction
The higher Bruhat orders $\mathcal{B}(n,k)$ were introduced by Manin-Schechtman to study discriminantal hyperplane arrangements and subsequently studied by Ziegler, who connected $\mathcal{B}(n,k)$ to oriented matroids. In this paper, we consider the enumeration of $\mathcal{B}(n,k)$ and improve upon Balko's asymptotic lower and upper bounds on $|\mathcal{B}(n,k)|$ by a factor exponential in $k$. A proof of Ziegler's formula for $|\mathcal{B}(n,n-3)|$ is given and a bijection between a certain subset of $\mathcal{B}(n,n-4)$ and totally symmetric plane partitions is proved. Central to our proofs are deletion and contraction operations for the higher Bruhat orders, defined in analogy with matroids. Dual higher Bruhat orders are also introduced, and we construct isomorphisms relating the higher Bruhat orders and their duals. Additionally, weaving functions are introduced to generalize Felsner's encoding of elements in $\mathcal{B}(n,2)$ to all higher Bruhat orders $\mathcal{B}(n,k)$.
On $P$-partitions Extended by Two-Rowed Plane Partitions
Inspired by Gansner's elegant $k$-trace generating function for rectangular plane partitions, we introduce two novel operators, $\varphi_{z}$ and $ψ_{z}$, along with their combinatorial interpretations. Through these operators, we derive a new formula for $P$-partitions of posets extended by two-rowed plane partitions. This formula allows us to compute explicit enumerative generating functions for various classes of $P$-partitions. Our findings encompass skew plane partitions, diamond-related two-rowed plane partitions, an extended $V$-poset, and ladder poset extensions, enriching the theory of $P$-partitions.
Cacti, Toggles, and Reverse Plane Partitions
The cactus group acts combinatorially on crystals via partial Schützenberger involutions. This action has been studied extensively in type $A$ and described via Bender-Knuth involutions. We prove an analogous result for the family of crystals $B(n\varpi_1)$ in type $D$. Our main tools are combinatorial toggles acting on reverse plane partitions of height $n$. As a corollary, we show that the length one and two subdiagram elements generate the full cactus action, addressing conjectures of Dranowski, the second author, Kamnitzer, and Morton-Ferguson.

In this paper, we examine the unimodality and strict unimodality of certain formal bivariate Laurent series with non-negative coefficients. We show that the sets of these formal bivariate Laurent series form commutative semirings under the operations of addition and multiplication of formal Laurent series. This result is used to establish the unimodality of sequences involving Gauss polynomials and certain refined color partitions. In particular, we solve an open problem posed by Andrews on the unimodality of generalized Gauss polynomials and establish an unimodal result for a statistic of plane partitions. We also establish many unimodal results for rank statistics in partition theory, including the rank statistics of concave and convex compositions studied by Andrews, as well as certain unimodal sequences studied by Kim-Lim-Lovejoy. Additionally, we establish the unimodality of the Betti numbers and Gromov-Witten invariants of certain Hilbert schemes of points.
An extended generalization of RSK correspondence via $A$ type quiver representations
Let $λ=(λ_1 \geqslant \ldots \geqslant λ_k > 0)$. For any $c$ Coxeter element of $\mathfrak{S}_{λ_1+k-1}$, we construct a bijection from fillings of $λ$ to reverse plane partitions. We recover two previous generalizations of the Robinson--Schensted--Knuth correspondence for particular choices of Coxeter element depending on $λ$: one based on the work of, among others, Burge, Hillman, Grassl, Knuth, and uniformly presented by Gansner; the other developed by Garver, Partrias, and Thomas, and independently by Dauvergne, called Scrambled RSK. Our results in this paper develop the combinatorial consequence of our previous work of type $A_{λ_1+k}$ quivers.
A combinatorial interpretation of the Bernstein degree of unitary highest weight modules
Consider the $(\mathfrak{g}, K)$-modules $L_λ$ for unitary highest weight representations of the real reductive group $G_{\mathbb{R}} = \operatorname{U}(p,q)$, $\operatorname{Mp}(2n, \mathbb{R})$, or $\operatorname{O}^*(2n)$, where $\operatorname{Mp}(2n,\mathbb{R})$ denotes the metaplectic double cover of $\operatorname{Sp}(2n,\mathbb{R})$. Let $k$ be a positive integer. Corresponding to $G_{\mathbb{R}}$ via Howe duality is the compact group $\operatorname{U}(k)$, $\operatorname{O}(k)$, or $\operatorname{Sp}(k)$, respectively, for which every irreducible representation $σ$ corresponds to a unique $L_λ = L_{λ(σ)}$. Nishiyama-Ochiai-Taniguchi (2001) expressed the Bernstein degree $\operatorname{Deg} L_{λ(σ)}$ as the product of $\dim σ$ and the degree of the associated variety of $L_{λ(σ)}$; this result is valid when $k \leq r :=$ the real rank of $G_{\mathbb{R}}$. In this paper, for arbitrary $k$, we give a new combinatorial interpretation $\operatorname{Deg} L_{λ(σ)} = \#(\mathcal{Q}_k(σ) \times \mathcal{P}_k)$, where $\mathcal{Q}_k(σ)$ is a certain set of semistandard tableaux, whose cardinality (for $k \geq r$) interpolates between $\dim σ$ and the dimension of the simple $K$-module with highest weight $λ(σ)$. The set $\mathcal{P}_k$ consists of certain plane partitions that encode the Hilbert series of the associated variety. We exhibit analogous sets $\mathcal{P}_k$ of plane partitions for all real reductive groups of Hermitian type, including the exceptional groups.
An extended generalization of RSK via the combinatorics of type $A$ quiver representations
The classical Robinson--Schensted--Knuth correspondence is a bijection from nonnegative integer matrices to pairs of semi-standard Young tableaux. Based on the work of, among others, Burge, Hillman, Grassl, Knuth and Gansner, it is known that a version of this correspondence gives, for any nonzero integer partition $λ$, a bijection from arbitrary fillings of $λ$ to reverse plane partitions of shape $λ$, via Greene--Kleitman invariants. By bringing out the combinatorial aspects of our recent results on quiver representations, we construct a family of bijections from fillings of $λ$ to reverse plane partitions of shape $λ$ parametrized by a choice of Coxeter element in a suitable symmetric group. We recover the above version of the Robinson--Schensted--Knuth correspondence for a particular choice of Coxeter element depending on $λ$.

This paper is the sequel of the paper under the same title with part 1, where we introduced refined canonical stable Grothendieck polynomials and their duals with two families of infinite parameters. In this paper we give combinatorial interpretations for these polynomials using generalizations of set-valued tableaux and reverse plane partitions, respectively. Our results extend to their flagged and skew versions.
The Magic Number Conjecture for the $m=2$ amplituhedron and Parke-Taylor identities
The amplituhedron $A_{n,k,m}$ is a geometric object introduced in the context of scattering amplitudes in $N=4$ super Yang Mills. It generalizes the positive Grassmannian (when $n=k+m$), cyclic polytopes (when $k=1$), and the bounded complex of the cyclic hyperplane arrangement (when $m=1$). Of substantial interest are the tilings of the amplituhedron, which are analogous to triangulations of a polytope. Karp, Williams and Zhang (2020) observed that the known tilings of $A_{n,k,2}$ have cardinality ${n-2 \choose k}$ and the known tilings of $A_{n,k,4}$ have cardinality the Narayana number $\frac{1}{n-3}{n-3 \choose k+1}{n-3 \choose k}$; generalizing these observations, they conjectured that for even $m$ the tilings of $A_{n, k,m}$ have cardinality the MacMahon number, the number of plane partitions which fit inside a $k \times (n-k-m) \times \frac{m}{2}$ box. We refer to this prediction as the `Magic Number Conjecture'. In this paper we prove the Magic Number Conjecture for the $m=2$ amplituhedron: that is, we show that each tiling of $A_{n,k,2}$ has cardinality ${n-2 \choose k}$. We prove this by showing that all positroid tilings of the hypersimplex $Δ_{k+1,n}$ have cardinality ${n-2 \choose k}$, then applying T-duality. In addition, we give combinatorial necessary conditions for tiles to form a tiling of $A_{n,k,2}$; we give volume formulas for Parke-Taylor polytopes and certain positroid polytopes in terms of circular extensions of cyclic partial orders; and we prove new variants of the classical Parke-Taylor identities.
