On the number of modular pairs in finite dimensional Lie algebras on finite fields
Given a finite dimensional Lie algebra $L$ on a finite field $\mathbb{F}_{p^n}$ of prime power order $p^n$ (with $n$ positive integer and $p$ prime), we consider the number of modular pairs $(A,B)$ in the lattice of all subalgebras $\mathcal{L}(L)$ and introduce the notion of ``subalgebra commutativity degree'' of $L$. This represents the probability to find that two randomly chosen subalgebras $A$ and $B$ of $L$ are permutable. We investigate the subalgebra commutativity degree of $L$ in connection with recent techniques of algebraic combinatorics and number theory, providing upper and lower bounds which may influence the structure of $L$. A specific study for the subalgebra commutativity degree of Heisenberg algebras is executed.
Hopf Algebras of B-Diagrams and Boson Normal Ordering: Exploring the Dual Structures
We consider the Hopf algebra of B-diagrams as an algebra projecting onto the Heisenberg algebra and designed to encode the combinatorics of the bosonic normal-ordering problem. In order to understand and generalize the properties of the algebra of noncommutative symmetric polynomials viewed as a Hopf subalgebra of the Hopf algebra linearly spanned by B-diagrams, we describe and study its dual Hopf algebra. This construction also allows us to establish connections with combinatorial Hopf algebras based on colored set partitions.

We study a Jack analog $\nabla(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ of the super nabla operator recently introduced by Bergeron, Haglund, Iraci and Romero for Macdonald polynomials. We prove that $\nabla(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ has a differential expression in the power-sum basis given in terms of Chapuy--Dołe\k{}ga and Nazarov--Sklyanin operators.
This result is obtained from a more general formula for the operator $G(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ encoding the structure coefficients of Jack characters, from which $\nabla(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ is obtained by taking the top homogeneous part.
A key step of the proof involves establishing that Chapuy--Dołe\k{}ga operators together with a dehomogenized version of Nazarov--Sklyanin operators have a Heisenberg algebra structure. The proof also uses a characterization of the operator $G(\mathbf{p},\mathbf{q})$ with a family of differential equations, recently established by the author.
Schubert Calculus and the Heisenberg Algebra
We show that the Hilbert space with basis indexed by infinite permutations and the cohomology ring of the infinite flag variety can be seen as representations of the Heisenberg algebra, which are isomorphic using the back-stable Schubert polynomials. We give a model for infinite permutations as certain two dimensional fermions, generalizing the Maya diagram construction for partitions. Under this framework, the pipedream model for Schubert polynomials can be viewed as the Hamiltonian time evolution of the 2D fermions.

The polynomial relationship between elementary symmetric functions (Cauchy enumeration formula) is formulated via a ``raising operator" and Fock space construction. A simple graphical proof of this relation is proposed. The new operator extends the Heisenberg algebra so that the number operator becomes a Lie product. This study is motivated by natural appearance of these polynomials in the theory of invariants for Lax equations and in classical and topological field theories.

We connect twisted vertex operator presentation of Hall-Littlewood polynomials with the action of charged free fermions, describe a boson-fermion correspondence that relates twisted vertex operators with classical Heisenberg algebra. We also show that the elements of the orthogonal to Schur functions basis of the one-parameter deformation of the ring of symmetric functions $Λ[t]$ are $τ$-functions of KP hierarchy.

For integers $e,\ell\geq 2$, the level $\ell$ Fock space has an $\mathfrak{sl}_\infty$-crystal structure arising from the action of a Heisenberg algebra, intertwining the $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}_e}$-crystal. The vertices of these crystals are charged $\ell$-partitions. We give the combinatorial rule for computing the arrows anywhere in the $\mathfrak{sl}_\infty$-crystal. This allows us to pinpoint the location of any charged $\ell$-partition. As an application, we compute the support of the spherical representation of a cyclotomic rational Cherednik algebra, and in particular, the set of parameters such that it is finite-dimensional. We also give an easy abacus characterization of all finite-dimensional representations of type $B$ Cherednik algebras.

We explain how the action of the Heisenberg algebra on the space of q-deformed wedges yields the Heisenberg crystal structure on charged multipartitions, by using the boson-fermion correspondence and looking at the action of the Schur functions at q = 0. In addition, we give the explicit formula for computing this crystal in full generality.

We make explicit a triple crystal structure on higher level Fock spaces, by investigating at the combinatorial level the actions of two affine quantum groups and of a Heisenberg algebra. To this end, we first determine a new indexation of the basis elements that makes the two quantum group crystals commute. Then, we define a so-called Heisenberg crystal, commuting with the other two. This gives new information about the representation theory of cyclotomic rational Cherednik algebras, relying on some recent results of Shan and Vasserot and of Losev. In particular, we give an explicit labelling of their finite-dimensional simple modules.
Supports of simple modules in cyclotomic Cherednik categories O
The goal of this paper is to compute the supports of simple modules in the categories $\mathcal{O}$ for the rational Cherednik algebras associated to groups $G(\ell,1,n)$. For this we compute some combinatorial maps on the set of simples: wall-crossing bijections and a certain $\mathfrak{sl}_\infty$-crystal associated to a Heisenberg algebra action on a Fock space.

An alternative and combinatorial proof is given for a connection between a system of Hahn polynomials and identities for symmetric elements in the Heisenberg algebra, which was first observed by Bender, Mead, and Pinsky [Phys. Rev. Lett. 56 (1986), J. Math. Phys. 28, 509 (1987)] and proved by Koornwinder [J. Phys. Phys. 30(4), 1989]. In the same vein two results announced by Bender and Dunne [J. Math. Phys. 29 (8), 1988] connecting a special one-parameter class of Hermitian operator orderings and the continuous Hahn polynomials are also proved.

We attempt to explain the ubiquity of tableaux and of Pieri and Cauchy formulae for combinatorially defined families of symmetric functions. We show that such formulae are to be expected from symmetric functions arising from representations of Heisenberg algebras. The resulting framework that we describe is a generalization of the classical Boson-Fermion correspondence, from which Schur functions arise. Our work can be used to understand Hall-Littlewood polynomials, Macdonald polynomials and Lascoux, Leclerc and Thibon's ribbon functions, together with other new families of symmetric functions.

A new combinatorial approach to the ribbon tableaux generating functions and q-Littlewood Richardson coefficients of Lascoux, Leclerc and Thibon is suggested. We define operators which add ribbons to partitions and following Fomin and Greene study non-commutative symmetric functions in these operators. This allows us to give combinatorial interpretations for some (skew) q-Littlewood Richardson coefficients whose non-negativity appears not to be known. Our set up also leads to a new proof of the action of the Heisenberg algebra on the Fock space of U_q(sl^_n) due to Kashiwara, Miwa and Stern.

Lascoux, Leclerc and Thibon have introduced symmetric functions which are spin and weight generating functions for ribbon tableaux. This article is aimed at studying these `ribbon functions' in analogy with Schur functions. In particular we will describe ribbon Pieri and Murnagham-Nakayama formulae, a ribbon Cauchy identity and an algebra involution which `conjugates' the ribbon functions. We will study these functions in the context of the action of the Heisenberg algebra on the Fock space representation of the quantum affine algebra U_q(sl_n)^, discovered by Kashiwara, Miwa and Stern. We will also connect our formulae with the ribbon insertion of Shimozono and White, giving combinatorial proofs for the domino n=2 case.

We study the explicit formula of Lusztig's integral forms of the level one quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{sl}_2)$ in the endomorphism ring of symmetric functions in infinitely many variables tensored with the group algebra of $\mathbb Z$. Schur functions are realized as certain orthonormal basis vectors in the vertex representation associated to the standard Heisenberg algebra. In this picture the Littlewood-Richardson rule is expressed by integral formulas, and is used to define the action of Lusztig's $\mathbb Z[q, q]$-form of $U_q(\hat{sl}_2)$ on Schur polynomials.
