Hecke monoids, their homomorphisms and parabolicity
We study homomorphisms of Hecke monoids, notably parabolic homomorphisms, which map parabolic elements to parabolic elements, and injective ones. The importance of the first class stems from the fact that parabolic elements form a rather mysterious submonoid of the Hecke monoid, and we found a plethora of parabolic homomorphisms.Concerning injective ones, as a first step towards their classification, we classified all locally injective connected homomorphisms between Hecke monoids of classical types and expect all of them to be injective. As a surprising byproduct of our study of parabolic and injective homomorphisms we described, to some extent, all homomorphisms between Hecke monoids.
Young tableau descriptions for the polyhedral realizations of crystal bases in type $A_n$
By utilizing the combinatorial properties of various tableau models, we establish an explicit correspondence between the polyhedral realizations of the crystal bases $\mathcal B(λ)$ (resp. $\mathcal B(\infty)$) of type $A_n$ and the reverse semi-standard Young tableaux (resp. reverse marginally large tableaux), thereby providing a combinatorial description of the corresponding polyhedral realizations. Furthermore, a crystal structure on the set of Gelfand-Tsetlin patterns is obtained via the correspondence between the polyhedral realization of $\mathcal{B}(λ)$ and the reverse tableaux. As applications of our framework, we present concrete combinatorial realizations of the crystal embedding of $\mathcal B(λ)$ into $\mathcal B(\infty)$ and the set of Lusztig data.
Root systems constructed by folding of the extended Dynkin diagrams
The extended affine Weyl group of a root system is the semidirect product of the corresponding Weyl group by its coweight lattice. The stabilizer subgroup of the extended affine Weyl group with respect to the corresponding fundamental alcove induces a subgroup of automorphisms of the extended Dynkin diagram. In this paper, we construct a finite root system by folding by the elements of the subgroup.
Equivariant version of the characteristic quasi-polynomials of root systems
An equivariant characteristic quasi-polynomial is a quasi-polynomial in $q$ consisting of the permutation character on the mod $q$ complement of the corresponding Coxeter arrangement. This concept is a refinement of the conventional characteristic quasi-polynomials of root systems. In this paper, we will show equivariant-theoretic refinements of the some properties of characteristic quasi-polynomials of root systems. Furthermore, we will explicitly compute equivariant characteristic quasi-polynomials of all irreducible reduced root systems and discuss the relationship with root systems constructed by the folding of the extended Dynkin diagrams.
On the action of Bender-Knuth generators of cactus group on the set of short semi-standard Young tableaux
In the article by Michael Chmutov, Max Glick and Pavel Pylyavskii \cite{Chmutov} the action of the cactus group $C_N$ on the set of semi-standard Young tableaux filled with the numbers from $1$ to $N$ was defined. Namely, they constructed the set of generators (we rightfully call them Bender-Knuth generators) of the cactus group and a group homomorphism from $C_N$ to Berenstein-Kirillov group $BK_N$ (cf. \cite{Berenstein_Kirillov}), which sends these generators to the Bender-Knuth involutions on the set of semi-standard Young tableaux. In \cite{Henriques_Kamnitzer} Andre Henriques and Joel Kamnitzer defined a natural action of cactus group $C_N$ on the tensor product of $N$ normal crystals via commutors. By applying their result I defined the action of cactus group $C_N$ on the set of short semi-standard Young tableaux filled with the numbers $1, 2, \ldots, N$ in \cite{Svyatnyy}. A semi-standard Young tableau is called \textit{short} if the number of cells in the first two columns with the numbers $\leqslant N$ is less than or equal to $N$. The set of short semi-standard Young tableaux obviously forms a subset inside the set of semi-standard Young tableaux. The purpose of this paper is to explicitly compute the action of Bender-Knuth generators of cactus group $C_N$ on the set of short semi-standard Young tableaux defined in \cite{Svyatnyy} and compare it with their action on the set of semi-standard Young tableaux defined in \cite{Chmutov}.
Chebyshev quotients, Demazure multiplicities, and Dyck-path models
We study Chebyshev quotients that arise in the representation theory of Lie algebras, specifically within the theory of Demazure flags for fusion products of $\mathfrak{sl}_2[t]$-modules. Motivated by a recent formula that expresses certain Demazure multiplicities as coefficients of such quotients, we prove a general eventual non-negativity theorem: each quotient either terminates or has strictly positive coefficients for sufficiently large degrees, which we in turn interpret in terms of matchings and bounded walks. In several natural infinite families, these are unsigned bounded Dyck path models, giving both a structural explanation for the observed positivity phenomenon and concrete combinatorial models for key families of Demazure multiplicities. The theorems in this paper were autonomously produced and formalized in Lean/Mathlib by AxiomProver from natural-language statements.
Partition division maps, symmetric functions and positivity
We introduce a linear map on symmetric functions that 'divides' a partition by a positive integer $k$, sending a Schur function indexed by a partition of $kn$ to a symmetric function indexed by partitions of $n$. We prove that the image of this map is always Schur-positive, meaning it expands in the Schur basis with nonnegative integer coefficients. These coefficients are enumerated by a new family of combinatorial objects, called $k$-Yamanouchi tableaux, which generalize the classical ballot (Yamanouchi) tableaux appearing in the Littlewood-Richardson rule. We also obtain expansions in the power-sum basis and establish power-sum positivity.
A further application establishes a connection to work of Tewodros Amdeberhan, John Shareshian, and Richard Stanley on alternating permutations and Euler numbers.
A representation-theoretic interpretation of the Schur expansion of two-row genomic Schur functions
Genomic Schur functions were introduced by Pechenik and Yong in connection with the $K$-theory of Grassmannians. Pechenik proved that genomic Schur functions admit a positive expansion in the basis of fundamental quasisymmetric functions and, for partitions with two parts, a positive expansion in the Schur basis. Later, Kim and Yoo constructed $0$-Hecke modules associated with genomic Schur functions and conjectured that the latter expansion admits a representation-theoretic interpretation in terms of $0$-Hecke modules. In this paper, we prove the conjecture of Kim and Yoo, thereby obtaining a representation-theoretic interpretation of the Schur expansion in the two-row case.
The Cutoff Profile for Random Transpositions on Repeated Cards in the Full Range of Parameters
The random transposition shuffle on repeated cards induces a Markov chain on the quotient space of arrangements with multiplicities, and is equivalent to the many-urn mean-field Bernoulli-Laplace model introduced by Scarabotti. Writing $n=ml$, where there are $m$ card types and each type appears $l$ times, we determine the limiting profile for the total variation distance to stationarity at times $t=\frac{n}{2}\left(\log n-\frac{1}{2}\log l+c\right)$, under the assumption $l=ω(1)$. Scarabotti previously established that this process exhibits cutoff at time $\frac{n}{2}(\log n-\frac{1}{2}\log l)$; our result refines this by identifying the precise asymptotic shape of convergence inside the cutoff window. We show that the limiting profile is asymptotically Gaussian, with different explicit forms in the regimes $m$ fixed and $m=ω(1)$. Together with our previous work on the fixed-$l$ regime, where the limiting profile is of Poisson type, this yields the cutoff profile for the random transposition shuffle on $n=ml$ repeated cards for the full range of parameters $m$ and $l$.
Our argument has two main steps. First, we combine Scarabotti's Fourier-analytic framework for the many-urn Bernoulli-Laplace model with the approximation method of Jain-Sawhney (arXiv:2410.23944). More precisely, we compare the original shuffling measure with an explicitly tractable auxiliary measure directly on the repeated card quotient space, rather than passing through an intermediate comparison on the full symmetric group; this step relies in particular on our new estimates for Kostka numbers. Second, we reduce the limiting-profile problem to quotient fixed-point statistics and analyze them via Hoeffding-type combinatorial central limit theorems.
Core abaci and Diophantine equations I: fundamental weight
In the light of a series of papers on moving vectors, we define and study core abaci of classical affine types for arbitrary charge. This greatly extends the concept of cores with charge zero, and make us being able to parameterize the affine Grassmannian $W^j$ by core abaci of charge $j$ for arbitrary classical affine types. By associating a core abacus $(\lam, j)$ to a weight $Λ_j-β$ and an affine Weyl group element $w_{\lam, j}$, we prove that the height of $β$ is equal to the atomic length of $w_{\lam, j}$. This solves a generalized version of the open problem raised by Brunat, Chapelier-Laget and Gerber. Moreover, Diophantine equations of classical affine types are established by using the height formula that given by Uglov vector. The solutions of certain classes of these Diophantine equations are proved to be completely parameterised by core abaci. As another application, closed formulae for computing the number of certain kinds of core abaci are given.
Quantum Super Littlewood Correspondences
In this paper, we study the Littlewood theory associated with the quantum super immanants and supersymmetric polynomials, including both the super case and the quantum generalization. In the setting of quantum super Schur-Weyl duality between the quantum superalgebra $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$ and the Iwahori-Hecke algebra $\mathcal{H}_r$ of type A, we explicitly construct basis vectors of the $(U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}), \mathcal{H}_r)$-bimodule on the tensor product space $(\mathbb{C}^{m|n})^{\otimes r}$. Using this construction, we interpret the quantum super immanants via weight spaces of covariant tensor representations of $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$.

Using results of Fayers on the structure of Specht modules, we prove two different formulae for the determinant of matrices which are obtained by amalgamating the entries of two smaller matrices. In particular, this gives formulae for multivariable Vandermonde determinants as a sum of completely factorising terms, each of which is a Vandermonde determinant in fewer variables. As an application, we deduce an elementary proof of the multiplicativity of the transfinite diameter for products of compact sets.
Kazhdan-Lusztig Basis and Optimization
We describe a conjectural approach to obtaining canonical bases of the Hecke algebra at $q=1$ via continuous quadratic optimization. We focus on Specht modules $S^λ$ and proper cones inside $S^λ$ that are invariant under the action of $1+s$ for all simple reflections $s\in S$. We show that there are unique minimal and maximal cones invariant under all $1+s$. For hook shapes, two-column shapes, and partitions of the form $(n-2,2)$, we prove that the Kazhdan--Lusztig basis spans this maximal cone. More generally, we define an optimization problem over bases that are unitriangular with respect to the polytabloid basis, subject to the constraint that the operators $1+s$ act non-negatively. We prove that the feasible region forms a compact semialgebraic set, and interpret it in terms of a hierarchy of invariant cones under all $1+s$. We demonstrate that minimizing the trace of the Gram matrix uniquely recovers Young's seminormal basis. Furthermore, we verify computationally that maximization uniquely recovers the Kazhdan--Lusztig basis for all partitions of $n\leq 7$. In higher ranks, the optimization detects deviations from the Kazhdan--Lusztig basis and may favour other natural positive bases, such as the Springer basis or $p$-canonical bases. Finally, we extend this framework to irreducible representations of $\mathfrak{sl}_n$. We observe that the Gelfand--Tsetlin basis corresponds to the unique minimizer, and we conjecture that the canonical basis corresponds to the maximum in small ranks.
The interval neighborhoods in the real Grothendieck groups
For a finite dimensional algebra $A$, the TF equivalence on the real Grothendieck group $K_0(\operatorname{\mathsf{proj}} A)_\mathbb{R}$ can be regarded as a completion of the $g$-fan. For example, the silting cones $C^\circ(U)$ of 2-term presilting complexes $U$ give the most fundamental family of TF equivalence classes. The next step is studying the TF equivalence classes around each silting cone $C^\circ(U)$. Thus, in this paper, we investigate the closed interval neighborhood $D(U)$ of $C^\circ(U)$. As our main result, we give a $2^{|U|}:1$ correspondence between the TF equivalence classes in $D(U)$ and those in $K_0(\operatorname{\mathsf{proj}} B)_\mathbb{R}$, where $B$ is the algebra appearing in the $τ$-tilting reduction at $U$. For this purpose, we give an explicit description of defining inequalities and the faces of $D(U)$ as a polyhedral cone, by using 2-term simple-minded collections and $M$-TF equivalences.
Wedderburn decomposition of the rational group algebras of $\operatorname{SL}_2(q)$ and $\operatorname{PSL}_2(q)$
In this article, we derive explicit combinatorial formulas, depending only on $q$, for the Wedderburn decomposition of the rational group algebras of the finite linear groups $\operatorname{SL}_2(q)$ and $\operatorname{PSL}_2(q)$. Furthermore, we also determine the number of pairwise non-isomorphic simple $\mathbb Q G$-modules of each possible dimension for $G$ being either $\operatorname{SL}_2(q)$ or $\operatorname{PSL}_2(q)$.
Universal dualities for Wilson loops in lattice Yang-Mills
We identify a universal finite-$N$ structure underlying Wilson loop expectations in lattice Yang-Mills, in any dimension $d\geq 2$, for gauge group $\mathrm{U}(N)$, and for arbitrary smooth central plaquette actions. The starting point is a state-sum expansion in plaquette labels by irreducible representations, in which each term factorizes into an action-dependent spectral weight and an action-independent topological coefficient. We then analyze these coefficients in three exact ways: as a gauge/string expansion over decorated spanning surfaces, as a local spin-foam/channel model on the dual incidence graph, and as a universal finite-$N$ master loop equation that closes on the coefficient side. As a consequence, several recent Wilson-action results are recovered as specializations of our broader action-agnostic framework.
Multisymmetric functions on eventually constant cyclic graphs
The study of spanning trees and related structures is central in graph theory, closely connected to understanding functions between finite sets. This paper generalizes the established relationship between rooted trees and eventually constant endomorphisms to a wider context including $k$-tuples of functions among $k$ disjoint vertex sets. We derive a weighted count of eventually constant $k$-tuples, which are characterized by their stabilization to constancy upon iterated composition. This construction is the set-theoretic analogue of the nilpotent cone and offers new insight into the combinatorial structure of cyclic digraphs. By identifying these $k$-tuples with their induced digraphs, we construct explicit formulas for their generating polynomials and analyze the cardinality of the set of eventually constant $k$-tuples. These polynomials are multisymmetric in $k$ sets of variables and can be re-expressed as the character of a representation of the product of general linear groups. We extend the ideas to the more general structures of eventually $N$-cyclic and $λ$-cyclic $k$-tuples, which we define and provide similar theorems for their generating functions and cardinality.
The $n$-Point Function of $t$-Core Partitions and Topological Vertex
In this paper, we study the $n$-point function of $t$-core partitions. The main tool is the topological vertex, originally developed to study the topological string theory for toric Calabi--Yau 3-folds. By virtue of the topological vertex, we introduce the $q$-deformed $n$-point function that generalizes both the ordinary $n$-point function of all integer partitions studied by Bloch--Okounkov and $t$-core partition case treated here. As a consequence, we provide a closed formula for the $n$-point function of $t$-core partitions in terms of theta functions, and prove that the corresponding correlation functions are quasimodular forms.
Lie's Theorem for Supertropical Algebra
The aim of this paper is to prove a version of Lie's theorem for the supertropical algebra.
On the growth of friezes via theta functions
We prove that the infinite friezes arising from the tubes of a given cluster algebra of acyclic affine type all have the same growth coefficients. Our proof uses identities satisfied by theta functions. This generalizes previous results in affine types~$ADE$ by several groups of authors.
