Invariance of rowmotion for variants of the Tamari lattice
We show that the rowmotion operator from dynamical algebraic combinatorics behaves the same on all alt $ν$-Tamari lattices for a fixed lattice path $ν$. We use this invariance of rowmotion to establish cyclic sieving and homomesy results for rational Tamari lattices. We also conjecture that this invariance extends to the more general cross Tamari lattices.
The Affine Tamari Lattice
Given a fixed integer $n\geq 2$, we construct two new finite lattices that we call the cyclic Tamari lattice and the affine Tamari lattice. The cyclic Tamari lattice is a sublattice and a quotient lattice of the cyclic Dyer lattice, which is the infinite lattice of translation-invariant total orders under containment of inversion sets. The affine Tamari lattice is a quotient of the Dyer lattice, which in turn is a quotient of the cyclic Dyer lattice and is isomorphic to the collection of biclosed sets of the root system of type $\widetilde{A}_{n-1}$ under inclusion. We provide numerous combinatorial and algebraic descriptions of these lattices using translation-invariant total orders, translation-invariant binary in-ordered trees, noncrossing arc diagrams, torsion classes, triangulations, and translation-invariant noncrossing partitions. The cardinalities of the cyclic and affine Tamari lattices are the Catalan numbers of types $B_n$ and $D_n$, respectively. We show that these lattices are self-dual and semidistributive, and we describe their decompositions coming from the Fundamental Theorem of Finite Semidistributive Lattices. We also show that the rowmotion operators on these lattices have well-behaved orbit structures, which we describe via the cyclic sieving phenomenon. Our new combinatorial framework allows us to prove that the lengths of maximal green sequences for the completed path algebra of the oriented $n$-cycle are precisely the integers in the interval $[2n-1,\binom{n+1}{2}]$.

Given a finite poset $P$, we study the _whirling_ action on vertex-labelings of $P$ with the elements $\{0,1,2,\dotsc ,k\}$. When such labelings are (weakly) order-reversing, we call them $k$-bounded $P$-partitions. We give a general equivariant bijection between $k$-bounded $P$-partitions and order ideals of the poset $P\times [k]$ which conveys whirling to the well-studied rowmotion operator. As an application, we derive periodicity and homomesy results for rowmotion acting on the chain of V's poset $V \times [k]$. We are able to generalize some of these results to the more complicated dynamics of rowmotion on $C_{n}\times [k]$, where $C_{n}$ is the claw poset with $n$ unrelated elements each covering $\widehat{0}$.

We introduce semidistrim lattices, a simultaneous generalization of semidistributive and trim lattices that preserves many of their common properties. We prove that the elements of a semidistrim lattice correspond to the independent sets in an associated graph called the Galois graph, that products and intervals of semidistrim lattices are semidistrim, and that the order complex of a semidistrim lattice is either contractible or homotopy equivalent to a sphere.
Semidistrim lattices have a natural rowmotion operator, which simultaneously generalizes Barnard's $\overlineκ$ map on semidistributive lattices as well as Thomas and the second author's rowmotion on trim lattices. Every lattice has an associated pop-stack sorting operator that sends an element $x$ to the meet of the elements covered by $x$. For semidistrim lattices, we are able to derive several intimate connections between rowmotion and pop-stack sorting, one of which involves independent dominating sets of the Galois graph.

The rowmotion operator acting on the set of order ideals of a finite poset has been the focus of a significant amount of recent research. One of the major goals has been to exhibit homomesies: statistics that have the same average along every orbit of the action. We systematize a technique for proving that various statistics of interest are homomesic by writing these statistics as linear combinations of "toggleability statistics" (originally introduced by Striker) plus a constant. We show that this technique recaptures most of the known homomesies for the posets on which rowmotion has been most studied. We also show that the technique continues to work in modified contexts. For instance, this technique also yields homomesies for the piecewise-linear and birational extensions of rowmotion; furthermore, we introduce a $q$-analogue of rowmotion and show that the technique yields homomesies for "$q$-rowmotion" as well.

The Lalanne-Kreweras involution is an involution on the set of Dyck paths which combinatorially exhibits the symmetry of the number of valleys and major index statistics. We define piecewise-linear and birational extensions of the Lalanne-Kreweras involution. Actually, we show that the Lalanne-Kreweras involution is a special case of a more general operator, called rowvacuation, which acts on the antichains of any graded poset. Rowvacuation, like the closely related and more studied rowmotion operator, is a composition of toggles. We obtain the piecewise-linear and birational lifts of the Lalanne-Kreweras involution by using the piecewise-linear and birational toggles of Einstein and Propp. We show that the symmetry properties of the Lalanne-Kreweras involution extend to these piecewise-linear and birational lifts.

The dynamics of certain combinatorial actions and their liftings to actions at the piecewise-linear and birational level have been studied lately with an eye towards questions of periodicity, orbit structure, and invariants. One key property enjoyed by the rowmotion operator on certain finite partially-ordered sets is homomesy, where the average value of a statistic is the same for all orbits. To prove refined versions of homomesy in the product of two chain posets, J. Propp and the second author used an equivariant bijection discovered (less formally) by R. Stanley and H. Thomas.
We explore the lifting of this "Stanley--Thomas word" to the piecewise-linear, birational, and noncommutative realms. Although the map is no longer a bijection, so cannot be used to prove periodicity directly, it still gives enough information to prove the homomesy at the piecewise-linear and birational levels (a result previously shown by D. Grinberg, S. Hopkins, and S. Okada). Even at the noncommutative level, the Stanley--Thomas word of a poset labeling rotates cyclically with the lifting of antichain rowmotion. Along the way we give some formulas for noncommutative antichain rowmotion that we hope will be first steps towards proving the conjectured periodicity at this level.
Cyclic Sieving for Plane Partitions and Symmetry

The cyclic sieving phenomenon of Reiner, Stanton, and White says that we can often count the fixed points of elements of a cyclic group acting on a combinatorial set by plugging roots of unity into a polynomial related to this set. One of the most impressive instances of the cyclic sieving phenomenon is a theorem of Rhoades asserting that the set of plane partitions in a rectangular box under the action of promotion exhibits cyclic sieving. In Rhoades's result the sieving polynomial is the size generating function for these plane partitions, which has a well-known product formula due to MacMahon. We extend Rhoades's result by also considering symmetries of plane partitions: specifically, complementation and transposition. The relevant polynomial here is the size generating function for symmetric plane partitions, whose product formula was conjectured by MacMahon and proved by Andrews and Macdonald. Finally, we explain how these symmetry results also apply to the rowmotion operator on plane partitions, which is closely related to promotion.

We relate Reiner, Tenner, and Yong's coincidental down-degree expectations (CDE) property of posets to the minuscule doppelgänger pairs studied by Hamaker, Patrias, Pechenik, and Williams. Via this relation, we put forward a series of conjectures which suggest that the minuscule doppelgänger pairs behave "as if" they had isomorphic comparability graphs, even though they do not. We further explore the idea of minuscule doppelgänger pairs pretending to have isomorphic comparability graphs by considering the rowmotion operator on order ideals. We conjecture that the members of a minuscule doppelgänger pair behave the same way under rowmotion, as they would if they had isomorphic comparability graphs. Moreover, we conjecture that these pairs continue to behave the same way under the piecewise-linear and birational liftings of rowmotion introduced by Einstein and Propp. This conjecture motivates us to study the homomesies (in the sense of Propp and Roby) exhibited by birational rowmotion. We establish the birational analog of the antichain cardinality homomesy for the major examples of posets known or conjectured to have finite birational rowmotion order (namely: minuscule posets and root posets of coincidental type).
