In this article we prove in main Theorem A that any infinity type real hyperplane arrangement $\mathcal{H}_n^m$ (Definition 2.11) with the associated normal system $\mathcal{N}$ (Definitions [2.2,2.4] can be represented isomorphically (Definition 2.6) by another infinity type hyperplane arrangement $\tilde{\mathcal{H}}_n^m$ with a given associated normal system $\tilde{\mathcal{N}}$ if and only if the normal systems $\mathcal{N}$ and $\tilde{\mathcal{N}}$ are isomorphic, that is, there is a convex positive bijection (Definition 2.5) between a pair of associated sets of normal antipodal pairs of vectors of $\mathcal{N}$ and $\tilde{\mathcal{N}}$.

The Varchenko determinant is the determinant of a matrix defined from an arrangement of hyperplanes. Varchenko proved that this determinant has a beautiful factorization. It is, however, not possible to use this factorization to compute a Varchenko determinant from a certain level of complexity. Precisely at this point, we provide an explicit formula of this determinant for the hyperplane arrangements associated to the finite Coxeter groups. The intersections of hyperplanes with the chambers of such arrangements have nice properties which play a central role for the calculation of their relating determinants.

The Tutte polynomial is a fundamental invariant associated to a graph, matroid, vector arrangement, or hyperplane arrangement. This short survey focuses on some of the most important results on Tutte polynomials of hyperplane arrangements. We show that many enumerative, algebraic, geometric, and topological invariants of a hyperplane arrangement can be expressed in terms of its Tutte polynomial. We also show that, even if one is only interested in computing the Tutte polynomial of a graph or a matroid, the theory of hyperplane arrangements provides a powerful finite field method for this computation.
Deletion theorem and combinatorics of hyperplane arrangements

We show that the deletion theorem of a free arrangement is combinatorial, i.e., whether we can delete a hyperplane from a free arrangement keeping freeness depends only on the intersection lattice. In fact, we give an explicit sufficient and necessary condition for the deletion theorem in terms of characteristic polynomials. This gives a lot of corollaries including the existence of free filtrations. The proof is based on the result about the form of minimal generators of a logarithmic derivation module of a multiarrangement which satisfies the $b_2$-equality.

This paper studies \emph{Dirichlet arrangements}, a generalization of graphic hyperplane arrangements arising from electrical networks and order polytopes of finite posets. We generalize descriptions of combinatorial features of graphic arrangements to Dirichlet arrangements, including characteristic polynomials and supersolvability. We apply these results to visibility sets of order polytopes and fixed-energy harmonic functions on electrical networks.
The Tutte Polynomial of Symmetric Hyperplane Arrangements

The Tutte polynomial is originally a bivariate polynomial which enumerates the colorings of a graph and of its dual graph. Ardila extended in 2007 the definition of the Tutte polynomial on the real hyperplane arrangements. He particularly computed the Tutte polynomials of the hyperplane arrangements associated to the classical Weyl groups. Those associated to the exceptional Weyl groups were computed by De Concini and Procesi one year later. This article has two objectives: On one side, we extend the Tutte polynomial computing to the complex hyperplane arrangements. On the other side, we introduce a wider class of hyperplane arrangements which is that of the symmetric hyperplane arrangements. Computing the Tutte polynomial of a symmetric hyperplane arrangement permits us to deduce the Tutte polynomials of some hyperplane arrangements, particularly of those associated to the imprimitive reflection groups.
One-skeleta of $G$-parking function ideals: resolutions and standard monomials
Given a graph $G$, the $G$-parking function ideal $M_G$ is an artinian monomial ideal in the polynomial ring $S$ with the property that a linear basis for $S/M_G$ is provided by the set of $G$-parking functions. It follows that the dimension of $S/M_G$ is given by the number of spanning trees of $G$, which by the Matrix Tree Theorem is equal to the determinant of the reduced Laplacian of $G$. The ideals $M_G$ and related algebras were introduced by Postnikov and Shapiro where they studied their Hilbert functions and homological properties. The author and Sanyal showed that a minimal resolution of $M_G$ can be constructed from the graphical hyperplane arrangement associated to $G$, providing a combinatorial interpretation of the Betti numbers.
Motivated by constructions in the theory of chip-firing on graphs, we study certain `skeleton' ideals $M_G^{(k)} \subset M_G$ generated by subsets of vertices of $G$ of size at most $k+1$. Here we focus our attention on the case $k=1$, the $1$-skeleton of the $G$-parking functions ideals. We consider standard monomials of $M_G^{(1)}$ and provide a combinatorial interpretation for the dimension of $S/M_G^{(1)}$ in terms of the signless Laplacian for the case $G = K_{n+1}$ is the complete graph. Our main study concerns homological properties of these ideals. We study resolutions of $M_G^{(1)}$ and show that for a certain class of graphs minimal resolution is supported on decompositions of Euclidean space coming from the theory of tropical hyperplane arrangements. This leads to combinatorial interpretations of the Betti numbers of these ideals.

We investigate the alternate order on a congruence-uniform lattice $\mathcal{L}$ as introduced by N. Reading, which we dub the core label order of $\mathcal{L}$. When $\mathcal{L}$ can be realized as a poset of regions of a simplicial hyperplane arrangement, the core label order is always a lattice. For general $\mathcal{L}$, however, this fails. We provide an equivalent characterization for the core label order to be a lattice. As a consequence we show that the property of the core label order being a lattice is inherited to lattice quotients. We use the core label order to characterize the congruence-uniform lattices that are Boolean lattices, and we investigate the connection between congruence-uniform lattices whose core label orders are lattices and congruence-uniform lattices of biclosed sets.
On the Falk invariant of hyperplane arrangements attached to gain graphs
The fundamental group of the complement of a hyperplane arrangement in a complex vector space is an important topological invariant. The third rank of successive quotients in the lower central series of the fundamental group was called Falk invariant of the arrangement since Falk gave the first formula and asked to give a combinatorial interpretation. In this article, we give a combinatorial formula for the Falk invariant of hyperplane arrangements attached to certain gain graphs.

We define Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson (CSM) cycles of an arbitrary matroid. These are balanced weighted fans supported on the skeleta of the corresponding Bergman fan. In the case that the matroid arises from a complex hyperplane arrangement A, we show that these cycles represent the CSM class of the complement of A. We also prove that for any matroid, the degrees of its CSM cycles are given by the coefficients of (a shift of) the reduced characteristic polynomial, and that CSM cycles are valuations under matroid polytope subdivisions.
Free arrangements with low exponents
In this article we show that any free hyperplane arrangement with exponents 1's and 2's is a supersolvable arrangement. We conjecture that any free arrangement with exponents 1's, 2's and exactly one 3, is also supersolvable, and we show this conjecture for hyperplane arrangements of ranks 4 and 5, and for inductively free arrangements of any rank.

A Weyl arrangement is the hyperplane arrangement defined by a root system. Arnold and Saito proved that every Weyl arrangement is free. The Weyl subarrangements of type $A_{\ell}$ are represented by simple graphs. Stanley gave a characterization of freeness for this type of arrangements in terms of thier graph. In addition, The Weyl subarrangements of type $B_{\ell}$ can be represented by signed graphs. A characterization of freeness for them is not known. However, characterizations of freeness for a few restricted classes are known. For instance, Edelman and Reiner characterized the freeness of the arrangements between type $ A_{\ell-1} $ and type $ B_{\ell} $. In this paper, we give a characterization of the freeness and supersolvability of the Weyl subarrangements of type $B_{\ell}$ under certain assumption.
Labeled binary trees, subarrangements of the Catalan arrangements, and Schur positivity

In 1995, the first author introduced a multivariate generating function {$G$} that tracks the distribution of ascents and descents in labeled binary trees. In addition to proving that $G$ is symmetric, he conjectured that $G$ is Schur positive. We prove this conjecture by expanding $G$ positively in terms of ribbon Schur functions. We obtain this expansion using a weight-preserving bijection whose inverse is inspired by the Push-Glide algorithm of Préville-Ratelle and Viennot. In fact, this weight-preserving bijection allows us to establish a stronger version of the first author's conjecture showing that the generating function restricted to labeled binary trees with a fixed canopy is still Schur positive.
We also discuss applications in the setting of hyperplane arrangements. We show that a certain specialization of $G$ equals the Frobenius characteristic of the natural $\mathfrak{S}_n$-action on regions of the semiorder arrangement, which we then expand in terms of {the Frobenius characteristics} of Foulkes characters. We also construct an $\mathfrak{S}_n$-action on regions of the Linial arrangement using a set of trees studied by Bernardi, and subsequently compute the character of this action by employing Lagrange inversion. The resulting expression generalizes Postnikov's formula for the number of regions in the Linial arrangement. As a final application, we prove $γ$-nonnegativity for the distribution of the number of right edges over local binary search trees.

The goal of this note two-fold. First, I draw attention to the way that semistability (in the sense of King) gives us a geometrical picture of (some of) the extension-closed abelian subcategories of a finite-dimensional algebra. Second, I describe Nathan Reading's shards of a hyperplane arrangement, and explain their relevance to understanding the semistability picture for finite-type preprojective algebras.

This paper studies Markov chains on the chambers of real hyperplane arrangements, a model that generalizes famous examples, such as the Tsetlin library and riffle shuffles. We discuss cutoff for the Tsetlin library for general weights, and we give an exact formula for the separation distance for the hyperplane arrangement walk. We introduce lower bounds, which allow for the first time to study cutoff for hyperplane arrangement walks under certain conditions. Using similar techniques, we also prove a uniform lower bound for the mixing time of Glauber dynamics on a monotone system.
Tutte Polynomials of Symmetric Hyperplane Arrangements
Originally in 1954 the Tutte polynomial was a bivariate polynomial associated to a graph in order to enumerate the colorings of this graph and of its dual graph at the same time. However the Tutte polynomial reveals more of the internal structure of a graph, and contains even other specializations from other sciences like the Jones polynomial in Knot theory, the partition function of the Pott model in statistical physics, and the reliability polynomial in network theory. In this article, we study the Tutte polynomial associated to more general objects which are the arrangements of hyperplanes. Indeed determining the Tutte polynomial of a graph is equivalent to determining the Tutte polynomial of a special hyperplane arrangement called graphic arrangement. In 2007 Ardila computed the Tutte polynomials of the hyperplane arrangements associated to the classical Weyl groups, and the characteristic polynomials of the Catalan arrangements. The charateristic polynomial is also a specialization of the Tutte polynomial. In 2012 Seo computed the characteristic polynomials of the Shi threshold arrangements, and in 2017 Song computed the characteristic polynomials of the $\mathcal{I}_n$ arrangements in the plane and in the space. We aim to bring a more general result by introducing a wider class of hyperplane arrangements which is the set of symmetric hyperplane arrangements. We compute the Tutte polynomial of a symmetric hyperplane arrangement, and, as examples of application, we deduce the Tutte polynomials of the Catalan, the Shi threshold, and the $\mathcal{I}_n$ arrangements.

An m-free hyperplane arrangement is a generalization of a free arrangement. Holm asked the following two questions: (1)Does m-free imply (m+1)-free for any arrangement? (2)Are all arrangements m-free for m large enough? In this paper, we characterize m-freeness for product arrangements, while we prove that all localizations of an m-free arrangement are m-free. From these results, we give answers to Holm's questions.
Inductive Freeness of Ziegler's Canonical Multiderivations for Reflection Arrangements

Let $A$ be a free hyperplane arrangement. In 1989, Ziegler showed that the restriction $A''$ of $A$ to any hyperplane endowed with the natural multiplicity is then a free multiarrangement. We initiate a study of the stronger freeness property of inductive freeness for these canonical free multiarrangements and investigate them for the underlying class of reflection arrangements.
More precisely, let $A = A(W)$ be the reflection arrangement of a complex reflection group $W$. By work of Terao, each such reflection arrangement is free. Thus so is Ziegler's canonical multiplicity on the restriction $A''$ of $A$ to a hyperplane. We show that the latter is inductively free as a multiarrangement if and only if $A''$ itself is inductively free.
Alternation acyclic tournaments

We define a tournament to be alternation acyclic if it does not contain a cycle in which descents and ascents alternate. Using a result by Athanasiadis on hyperplane arrangements, we show that these tournaments are counted by the median Genocchi numbers. By establishing a bijection with objects defined by Dumont, we show that alternation acyclic tournaments in which at least one ascent begins at each vertex, except for the largest one, are counted by the Genocchi numbers of the first kind. Unexpected consequences of our results include a pair of ordinary generating function formulas for the Genocchi numbers of both kinds and a new very simple model for the normalized median Genocchi numbers.
