Study of $p^{k}$-Eulerian polynomials and $p^{k}$-Fibonacci numbers for every odd prime $p$ and $k\geq0$
In this paper, we define the notion of descent for the paths in the $p$-Bratteli diagram. This leads to the definition of $p^{k}$-Eulerian polynomials, whose coefficients count the number of paths with a given number of descents. We provide a method for constructing the $p^{k}$-Eulerian polynomials at each vertex. Furthermore, we compute the total number of descents of all paths ending at a given vertex as the corresponding $p^{k}$-Fibonacci numbers. We show that the derivative of the $p^{k}$-Eulerian polynomial evaluated at 1 for a fixed vertex equals the corresponding $p^{k}$-Fibonacci number. Finally, we discuss the generating function for the sequence of $p^{k}$-Fibonacci numbers and the recurrence relations they satisfy.
On the divisibility of sums of Fibonacci numbers
We show that for infinitely many odd integers $n$, the sum of the first $n$ nonzero Fibonacci numbers is divisible by $n$. This resolves a conjecture of Fatehizadeh and Yaqubi.

In this paper we introduce a family of partitions of the set of natural numbers, Fibonacci-like partitions. In particular, we introduce a Fibonacci-like partition in a number of parts corresponding to the Fibonacci numbers, the standard Fibonacci-like partitions of the first kind. That partition refines the well-known partition in two parts associated to the Wythoff sequences. In a similar way, we introduce another family of Fibonacci-like partitions of the natural numbers, with an initial segment removed, in a number of parts which also follows the Fibonacci sequence, the standard Fibonacci-like partitions of the second kind.
We study some piecewise-defined permutations over Fibonacci-like partitions, which give both torsion-free and torsion elements in the symmetric group over the set of natural numbers. We give an application of Fibonacci-like partitions to the study of a sequence analyzed by A. Shapovalov and by B.J. Venkatachala. We give also a generalization of the mentioned sequence, involving techniques that are not related to Fibbonaci numbers nor Beatty sequences, obtaining an infinite family of sequences that we conjecture that produce an infinite orthogonal array in which the number of symbols, trials and factors is countable infinite, and having an automorphism group isomorphic to Z acting regularly on the symbol set.
Asymptotic Analysis of Central Binomiacci Numbers
We make an asymptotic analysis via singularity analysis of generating functions of a number sequence that involves the Fibonacci numbers and generalizes the binomial coefficients.
A new combinatorial interpretation of partial sums of $m$-step Fibonacci numbers
The sequence of partial sums of Fibonacci numbers, beginning with $2$, $4$, $7$, $12$, $20$, $33,\dots$, has several combinatorial interpretations (OEIS A000071). For instance, the $n$-th term in this sequence is the number of length-$n$ binary words that avoid $110$. This paper proves a related but new interpretation: given a length-$3$ binary word -- called the keyword -- we say two length-$n$ binary words are equivalent if one can be obtained from the other by some sequence of substitutions: each substitution replaces an instance of the keyword with its negation, or vice versa. We prove that the number of induced equivalence classes is again the $n$-th term in the aforementioned sequence. When the keyword has length $m+1$ (instead of $3$), the same result holds with $m$-step Fibonacci numbers. What makes this result surprising -- and distinct from the previous interpretation -- is that it does not depend on the keyword, despite the fact that the sizes of the equivalence classes do. On this final point, we prove several results on the structure of equivalence classes, and also pose a variety of open problems.

In this paper, we provide an exact formula for the average hitting times in a wheel graph $W_{N+1}$ using a combinatorial approach. For this wheel graph, the average hitting times can be expressed using Fibonacci numbers when the number of surrounding vertices is odd and Lucas numbers when it is even. Furthermore, combining the exact formula for the average hitting times with the general formula for the effective resistance of the graph allows determination of the number of spanning trees of the graph with two identified vertices.

We determine the trigraded multiplicity of the sign character of the triagonal fermionic coinvariant ring $R_n^{(0,3)}$. As a corollary, this proves a conjecture of Bergeron (2020) that the dimension of the sign character of $R_n^{(0,3)}$ is $n^2-n+1$. We also give an explicit formula for double hook characters in the diagonal fermionic coinvariant ring $R_n^{(0,2)}$, and discuss methods towards calculating the sign character of $R_n^{(0,4)}$. Finally, we give a multigraded refinement of a conjecture of Bergeron (2020) that the dimension of the sign character of the $(1,3)$-bosonic-fermionic coinvariant ring $R_n^{(1,3)}$ is $\frac{1}{2}F_{3n}$, where $F_n$ is a Fibonacci number.

We study a game in which one keeps flipping a coin until a given finite string of heads and tails occurs. We find the expected number of coin flips to end the game when the ending string consists of at most four maximal runs of heads or tails or alternates between heads and tails. This leads to some summation identities involving certain generalizations of the Fibonacci numbers.
Factorization of spread polynomials
We present a proof of a conjecture of Goh and Wildberger on the factorization of the spread polynomials. We indicate how the factors can be effectively calculated and exhibit a connection to the factorization of Fibonacci numbers into primitive parts.

Nonnesting permutations are permutations of the multiset $\{1,1,2,2,\dots,n,n\}$ that avoid subsequences of the form $abba$ for any $a\neq b$. These permutations have recently been studied in connection to noncrossing (also called quasi-Stirling) permutations, which are those that avoid subsequences of the form $abab$, and in turn generalize the well-known Stirling permutations. Inspired by the work by Archer et al. on pattern avoidance in noncrossing permutations, we consider the analogous problem in the nonnesting case. We enumerate nonnesting permutations that avoid each set of two or more patterns of length 3, as well as those that avoid some sets of patterns of length 4. We obtain closed formulas and generating functions, some of which involve unexpected appearances of the Catalan and Fibonacci numbers. Our proofs rely on decompositions, recurrences, and bijections.
Intervals in a family of Fibonacci lattices
We focus on a family of subsets $(\F^p_n)_{p\geq 2}$ of Dyck paths of semilength $n$ that avoid the patterns $DUU$ and $D^{p+1}$, which are enumerated by the generalized Fibonacci numbers. We endow them with the partial order relation induced by the well-known Stanley lattice, and we prove that all these posets are sublattices of the Stanley lattice. We provide generating functions for the numbers of linear and boolean intervals and we deduce the Möbius function for every $p\geq 2$. We count meet-irreducible elements in $\FF_n^p$ which establishes a surprising link with the edges of the $(n,p)$-Turán graph. We also prove that intervals are in one-to-one correspondence with bicolored Motzkin paths avoiding some patterns, which allows to enumerate intervals for $p=2$. Using a discrete continuity argument ($p\rightarrow \infty$), we present a similar enumerative study in a poset of some Dyck paths of semilength $n$ counted by $2^{n-1}$. Finally, we give bijections that transport the lattice structure on other combinatorial objects, proving that those lattices can be seen as the well-known dominance order on some compositions.
Combinatorial connections in snake graphs: Tilings, lattice paths, and perfect matchings
Snake graphs and their perfect matchings play a key role in the description of cluster variables of cluster algebras associated to surfaces. In this paper, we introduce triangular snake graphs and establish a bijection between their routes (non-intersecting lattice paths), perfect matchings of their underlying snake graphs, and tilings. As an application, we show that the number of perfect matchings in straight snake graphs can be expressed in terms of determinants of Hankel matrices with Catalan number entries. Moreover, we prove that the number of perfect matchings in snake graphs can be expressed as a sum of products of Fibonacci numbers, and we show how Fibonacci and Pell sequences arise from determinants of matrices with Fibonacci entries.

Let $MIS(G)$ be the set of all maximal independent sets in a graph $G$, and let $mis(G)=|MIS(G)|$. In this paper, we show that for any tree $T$ with $n$ vertices and independence number $α$,
\[mis(T)\geq f(n-α),\]
and for any unicyclic graph $G$ with $n$ vertices and independence number $α$,
\begin{align*}
mis(G)\geq
\begin{cases}
2, & \text{if} \ n=4\ \text{and}\ α=2,
3, & \text{if} \; α=n-2 \; \text{and} \; n\neq4,
2f(n-α), & \text{if} \; n\geq 5\; \text{and}\; \lceil \frac{n}{2} \rceil \leq α< n-2,
f(n-α+2)-f(n-α-3), &\text{if} \; n\geq 5, \;\text{and}\ n \; \text{is odd}, \; \text{and} \; α= \lfloor \frac{n}{2} \rfloor,
\end{cases}
\end{align*}
where $f(n)$ represent the $n$th Fibonacci number. Moreover, we also show that the above inequalities are sharp.

We present new expressions for the $k$-generalized Fibonacci numbers, say $F_k(n)$. They satisfy the recurrence $F_k(n) = F_k(n-1) +\dots+F_k(n-k)$. Explicit expressions for the roots of the auxiliary (or characteristic) polynomial are presented, using Fuss-Catalan numbers. Properties of the roots are enumerated. We quantify the accuracy of asymptotic approximations for $F_k(n)$ for $n\gg1$. Our results subsume and extend some results published by previous authors. We also present a basis (or `fundamental solutions') to solve the above recurrence for arbitrary initial conditions. We comment on the use of generating functions and multinomial sums for the $k$-generalized Fibonacci numbers and related sequences. We note that the resulting multinomial sums are Dickson polynomials of the second kind in several variables. We also present what may be a new identity for companion matrices.

A desarrangement is a permutation whose first ascent is even. Desarrangements were introduced in the 1980s by Jacques Désarménien, who proved that they are in bijection with derangements. We revisit the study of desarrangements, focusing on two themes: the refined enumeration of desarrangements with respect to permutation statistics, and pattern avoidance in desarrangements. Our main results include generating function formulas for counting desarrangements by the number of descents, peaks, valleys, double ascents, and double descents, as well as a complete enumeration of desarrangements avoiding a prescribed set of length 3 patterns. We find new interpretations of the Catalan, Fine, Jacobsthal, and Fibonacci numbers in terms of pattern-avoiding desarrangements.

We provide a new perspective on the divisor theory of graphs, using additive combinatorics. As a test case for this perspective, we compute the gonality of certain families of outerplanar graphs, specifically the strip graphs. The Jacobians of such graphs are always cyclic of Fibonacci order. As a consequence, we obtain several results on the additive properties of Fibonacci numbers.

Recursions Satisfied by Families of Determinants with Applications to Resistance Distance
The main contribution of this paper is a six-step semi-automatic algorithm that obtains a recursion satisfied by a family of determinants by systematically and iteratively applying Laplace expansion to the underlying matrix family. The recursion allows explicit computation of the Binet form providing a closed formula for resistance distance between two specified nodes in a family of graphs. This approach is particularly suited for graph families with complex structures; the method is used to prove the 1 over 14 conjectured asymptotic formula for linear 3--trees. Additionally, although the literature on recursive formulas for resistance distances is quite large, the Fibonacci Quarterly and the Proceedings have almost no such results despite the fact that many recursions related to resistance distances involve the Fibonacci numbers. Therefore, a secondary purpose of the paper is to provide a brief introductory survey of graph families, accompanied by figures, Laplacian matrices, and typical recursive results, supported by a modest bibliography of current papers on many relevant graph families, in the hope to involve Fibonaccians in this active and beautiful field.
The number of quasi-trees of bouquets with exactly one non-orientable loop
Recently, Merino extended the classical relation between the $2n$-th Fibonacci number and the number of spanning trees of the $n$-fan graph to ribbon graphs, and established a relation between the $n$-associated Mersenne number and the number of quasi-trees of the $n$-wheel ribbon graph. Moreover, Merino posed a problem of finding the Lucas numbers as the number of spanning quasi-trees of a family of ribbon graphs. In this paper, we solve the problem and give the Matrix-Quasi-tree Theorem for a bouquet with exactly one non-orientable loop. Furthermore, this theorem is used to verify that the number of quasi-trees of some classes of bouquets is closely related to the Fibonacci and Lucas numbers. We also give alternative proofs of the number of quasi-trees of these bouquets by using the deletion-contraction relations of ribbon graphs.
Identities and Generating Functions of Products of Generalized Fibonacci numbers, Catalan and Harmonic Numbers
We considered the properties of generalized Fibonacci and Lucas numbers class. The analogues of well-known Fibonacci identities for generalized numbers are obtained. We gained a new identity of product convolution of generalized Fibonacci and Lucas numbers. We wrote down generating functions of generalized Fibonacci and Lucas numbers products, their multisections, harmonic numbers and Catalan numbers.
