Fractions $\frac{p}{q} \in [0,1)$ with prime denominator $q$ written in decimal have a curious property described by Midy's Theorem, namely that two halves of their period (if it is of even length $2n$) sum up to $10^n-1$. A number of results generalise Midy's theorem to expansions of $\frac{p}{q}$ in different integer bases, considering non-prime denominators, or dividing the period into more than two parts. We show that a similar phenomena can be studied even in the context of numeration systems with non-integer bases, as introduced by Rényi. First we define the Midy property for a general real base $β>1$ and derive a necessary condition for validity of the Midy property. For $β=\frac12(1+\sqrt5)$ we characterize prime denominators $q$, which satisfy the property.
Series Associated with Harmonic Numbers, Fibonacci Numbers and Central Binomial Coefficients $\binom{2n}{n}$
We find various series that involves the central binomial coefficients $\binom{2n}{n}$, harmonic numbers and Fibonacci Numbers.\\ Contrary to the traditional hypergeometric function $_pF_q$ approach, our method utilizes a straightforward transformation to obtain new evaluations linked to Fibonacci numbers and the golden ratio. Before the end of this paper, we also gave a new series representation for $ζ(2)$.

For a finite set $A\subset\mathbb{N}$ and $k\in \mathbb{N}$, let $ω_k(A) = \sum_{i\in A, i\neq k}1$. For each $n\in \mathbb{N}$, define $$a_{k, n}\ =\ |\{E\subset \mathbb{N}\,:\, E = \emptyset\mbox{ or } ω_k(E) < \min E\leqslant \max E\leqslant n\}|.$$ First, we prove that $$a_{k,k+\ell} \ =\ 2F_{k+\ell},\mbox{ for all }\ell\geqslant 0\mbox{ and }k\geqslant \ell+2,$$ where $F_n$ is the $n$th Fibonacci number. Second, we show that $$|\{E\subset \mathbb{N}\,:\, \max E = n+1, \min E > ω_{2,3}(E), \mbox{ and }|E|\neq 2\}|\ =\ F_{n},$$ where $ω_{2,3}(E) = \sum_{i\in E, i\neq 2, 3}1$.
Généralisation du Théorème de Zeckendorf
We consist of first presenting Zeckendorf Theorem with these two versions Fibonacci and Luca. In this document we obtain results on the generalized of the Zeckendorf theorem for Fibonacci numbers (multibonacci). Such results find applications in coding theory.
Relations between Chebyshev, Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials via trigonometric sums
In this paper we derive some new identities involving the Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials and the Chebyshev polynomials of the first and the second kind. Our starting point is a finite trigonometric sum which equals the resolvent kernel on the discrete circle with $m$ vertices and which can be evaluated in two different ways. An expression for this sum in terms of the Chebyshev polynomials was deduced in \cite{JKS} and the expression in terms of the Fibonacci and Lucas polynomials is deduced in this paper. As a consequence, we establish some further identities involving trigonometric sums and Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell and Pell-Lucas polynomials and numbers, thus providing a "physical" interpretation for those identities. Moreover, the finite trigonometric sum of the type considered in this paper can be related to the effective resistance between any two vertices of the $N$-cycle graph with four nearest neighbors $C_{N}(1,2)$. This yields further identities involving Fibonacci numbers.
Walks on tiled boards
Several articles deal with tilings with various shapes, and also a very frequent type of combinatorics is to examine the walks on graphs or on grids. We combine these two things and give the numbers of the shortest walks crossing the tiled $(1\times n)$ and $(2\times n)$ square grids by covering them with squares and dominoes. We describe these numbers not only recursively, but also as rational polynomial linear combinations of Fibonacci numbers.

We prove new bijections between different variants of Dyck paths and integer compositions, which give combinatorial explanations of their simple counting formula $4^{n-1}$. These give relations between different statistics, such as the number of crossings of the $x$-axis in classes of Dyck bridges or the distribution of peaks in classes of Dyck paths, and furthermore relate them with $k$- and $g$-compositions. These allow us to find and prove congruence results for Dyck paths and parity results for compositions. Our investigation uncovers unexpected connections to mock theta functions, Hardinian arrays, little Schröder paths, Fibonacci numbers, and irreducible pairs of compositions, offering new insights into the structures of paths, partitions and compositions.

We present several types of ordinary generating functions involving central binomial coefficients, harmonic numbers, and odd harmonic numbers. Our results complement those of Boyadzhiev from 2012 and Chen from 2016. Based on these generating functions we evaluate several infinite series in closed form. In addition, we offer some combinatorial sum identities involving Catalan numbers, harmonic numbers and odd harmonic numbers. Finally, we analyze a special log-integral with Fibonacci numbers and odd harmonic numbers.

Using Kostant's weight multiplicity formula, we describe and enumerate the terms contributing a nonzero value to the multiplicity of a positive root $μ$ in the adjoint representation of $\mathfrak{sl}_{r+1}(\mathbb{C})$, which we denote $L(\tildeα)$, where $\tildeα$ is the highest root of $\mathfrak{sl}_{r+1}(\mathbb{C})$. We prove that the number of terms contributing a nonzero value in the multiplicity of the positive root $μ=α_i+α_{i+1}+\cdots+α_j$ with $1\leq i\leq j\leq r$ in $L(\tildeα)$ is given by the product $F_{i}\cdot F_{r-j+1}$, where $F_n$ is the $n^{\text{th}}$ Fibonacci number. Using this result, we show that the $q$-multiplicity of the positive root $μ=α_i+α_{i+1}+\cdots+α_j$ with $1\leq i\leq j\leq r$ in the representation $L(\tildeα)$ is precisely $q^{r-h(μ)}$, where $h(μ)=j-i+1$ is the height of the positive root $μ$. Setting $q=1$ recovers the known result that the multiplicity of a positive root in the adjoint representation of $\mathfrak{sl}_{r+1}(\mathbb{C})$ is one.
On the correspondence between perfect matchings and compatible pairs for affine cluster algebra
We study cluster algebra of affine type $A_1^{(1)}$ by using two methods including counting the numbers of perfect matchings on snake graphs and compatible pairs on maximal Dyck paths. We find that the sum of coefficients of the terms in the Laurent polynomials of these cluster variables are odd-indexed Fibonacci numbers. In addition, we prove that the numbers of non-decreasing Dyck paths of even lengths are also odd-indexed Fibonacci numbers. As a consequence, we define explicit bijective correspondences among three combinatorial models, including perfect matchings on the snake graph, compatible pairs on the maximal Dyck path, and non-decreasing Dyck paths of even lengths.

In this paper, harkening back to ideas of Hardy and Ramanujan, Mahler and de Bruijn, with the addition of more recent results on the Fibonacci Dirichlet series, we determine the asymptotic number of ways $p_F(n)$ to write an integer as the sum of non-distinct Fibonacci numbers. This appears to be the first such asymptotic result concerning non-distinct partitions over Fibonacci numbers. As well, under weak conditions, we prove analogous results for a general linear recurrences.

We consider the notions of sum graph and of relaxed sum graph over a magma, give several examples and results of these families of graphs over some natural magmas. We classify the cycles that are sum graphs for the magma of the subsets of a set with the operation of union, determine the abelian groups that provide a sum labelling of $C_4$, and show that $C_{4\ell}$ is a sum graph over the abelian group $\mathbb{Z}_f\times\mathbb{Z}_f$, where $f=f_{2\ell}$ is the corresponding Fibonacci number. For integral sum graphs, we give a linear upper bound for the radius of matchings, improving Harary's labelling for this family of graphs, and give the exact radius for the family of totally disconnected graphs.
We found integer labellings for the 4D-cube, giving a negative answer to a question of Melnikov and Pyatikin, actually showing that the 4D-cube has infinitely many primitive labellings. We have also obtained some new results on mod sum graphs and relaxed sum graphs. Finally, we show that the direct product operation is closed for strong integral sum graphs.

Given a graph $G$, we study the number of independent sets in $G$, denoted $i(G)$. This parameter is known as both the Merrifield-Simmons index of a graph as well as the Fibonacci number of a graph. In this paper, we give general bounds for $i(G)$ when $G$ is bipartite and we give its exact value when $G$ is a balanced caterpillar. We improve upon a known upper bound for $i(T)$ when $T$ is a tree, and study a conjecture that all but finitely many positive integers represent $i(T)$ for some tree $T$. We also give exact values for $i(G)$ when $G$ is a particular type of benzenoid.

Interval parking functions are a generalization of parking functions in which cars have an interval preference for their parking. We generalize this definition to parking functions with $n$ cars and $m\geq n$ parking spots, which we call interval rational parking functions and provide a formula for their enumeration. By specifying an integer parameter $\ell\geq 0$, we then consider the subset of interval rational parking functions in which each car parks at most $\ell$ spots away from their initial preference. We call these $\ell$-interval rational parking functions and provide recursive formulas to enumerate this set for all positive integers $m\geq n$ and $\ell$. We also establish formulas for the number of nondecreasing $\ell$-interval rational parking functions via the outcome map on rational parking functions. We also consider the intersection between $\ell$-interval parking functions and Fubini rankings and show the enumeration of these sets is given by generalized Fibonacci numbers. We conclude by specializing $\ell=1$, and establish that the set of $1$-interval rational parking functions with $n$ cars and $m$ spots are in bijection with the set of barred preferential arrangements of $[n]$ with $m-n$ bars. This readily implies enumerative formulas. Further, in the case where $\ell=1$, we recover the results of Hadaway and Harris that unit interval parking functions are in bijection with the set of Fubini rankings, which are enumerated by the Fubini numbers.

Using the special value at $u=1$ of Artin-Ihara $L$-functions, we associate to every $\mathbb{Z}$-cover of a finite connected graph a polynomial which we call the \emph{Ihara polynomial}. We show that the number of spanning trees for the finite intermediate graphs of such a cover can be expressed in terms of the Pierce-Lehmer sequence associated to a factor of the Ihara polynomial. This allows us to express the asymptotic growth of the number of spanning trees in terms of the Mahler measure of this polynomial. Specializing to the situation where the base graph is a bouquet or the dumbbell graph gives us back previous results in the literature for circulant and $I$-graphs (including the generalized Petersen graphs). We also express the $p$-adic valuation of the number of spanning trees of the finite intermediate graphs in terms of the $p$-adic Mahler measure of the Ihara polynomial. When applied to a particular $\mathbb{Z}$-cover, our result gives us back Lengyel's calculation of the $p$-adic valuations of Fibonacci numbers.
The Reversed Zeckendorf Game

Zeckendorf proved that every natural number $n$ can be expressed uniquely as a sum of non-consecutive Fibonacci numbers, called its Zeckendorf decomposition. Baird-Smith, Epstein, Flint, and Miller created the Zeckendorf game, a two-player game played on partitions of $n$ into Fibonacci numbers which always terminates at a Zeckendorf decomposition, and proved that Player 2 has a winning strategy for $n\geq 3$. Since their proof was non-constructive, other authors have studied the game to find a constructive winning strategy, and lacking success there turned to related problems. For example, Cheigh, Moura, Jeong, Duke, Milgrim, Miller, and Ngamlamai studied minimum and maximum game lengths and randomly played games. We explore a new direction and introduce the reversed Zeckendorf game, which starts at the ending state of the Zeckendorf game and flips all the moves, so the reversed game ends with all pieces in the first bin. We show that Player 1 has a winning strategy for $n = F_{i+1} + F_{i-2}$ and solve various modified games.
Degree $5$ Fibonacci Sums via the Gelin-Cesàro Identity
Let $F_k$ be the $k$th Fibonacci number. Let $(G_k)_{k\in\mathbb Z}$ be any sequence obeying the recurrence relation of the Fibonacci numbers. We employ the Gerin-Cesàro identity and an identity of Brousseau to evaluate the following sums: $\sum_{j=1}^n{(\pm 1)^{j - 1}G_j^5}$, $\sum_{j = 1}^n {G_{j - 1} G_{j} G_{j + 1} G_{j + 2} G_{j + m} }$, $\sum_{j = 1}^n {(-F_{m - 3})^{n - j} ( F_{m + 2} )^j G_{j - 1} G_{j} G_{j + 1} G_{j + 2} G_{j + m} }$, and $\sum_{j = 1}^n {(-F_{m + 2})^{n - 2}F_{m - 3}^jG_{j + m} \left( {G_{j - 2} G_{j - 1} G_j G_{j + 1} G_{j + 2} G_{j + 3} } \right)^{ - 1} }$. Among other results, we evaluate the sum and alternating sum of products of five consectutive Fibonacci-like numbers, namely $\sum_{j = 1}^n {\left( { \pm 1} \right)^{j - 1} G_j G_{j + 1} G_{j + 2} G_{j + 3} G_{j + 4} }$.
Sums of products of binomial coefficients mod 2 and 2-regular sequences
Wu showed that certain sums of products of binomial coefficients modulo 2 are given by the run length transforms of several famous linear recurrence sequences, such as the positive integers, the Fibonacci numbers, the extended Lucas numbers, and Narayana's cows sequence. In this paper we show that the run length transform of such sequences are 2-regular sequences. This allows us to obtain Wu's results and some new ones using the computer program Walnut, eliminating the need for long technical proofs.
Some applications of the Lagrange inversion formula for the $k$-Fibonacci numbers
The aim of this paper consists of providing summation formulas for the $k$-Fibonacci numbers ($k \in \mathbb{Z}$, $k \geq 2$) and their asymptotic equivalents in terms of generalized binomial coefficients. Our main tools are the Lagrange inversion formula and one of its consequences due to Hermite.
The Forest Filtration of a Graph
Given a graph $G$, we define a filtration of simplicial complexes associated to $G$, $\mathcal{F}_0(G)\subseteq\mathcal{F}_1(G)\subseteq\cdots\subseteq\mathcal{F}_\infty(G)$ where the first complex is the independence complex and the last the complex is formed by the acyclic sets of vertices. We prove some properties of this filtration and we calculate the homotopy type for various families of graphs. We give an upper bound for the decycling number and generalizations of this parameter using the dimensions of the rational cohomology groups of these complexes. We also derive an upper bound for the Fibonacci numbers of ternary graphs.
