Multiplicative largeness of $\textit{de Polignac numbers}$
A number $m$ is said to be a $\textit{de Polignac number}$, if infinitely many pairs of consecutive primes exist, such that $m$ can be written as the difference of those consecutive prime numbers. Recently in [ W. D. Banks: Consecutive primes and IP sets, arXiv:2403.10637.], using arguments from the Ramsey theory, W. D. Banks proved that the collection of $\textit{de Polignac number}$ is an $IP^\star$ set (Though his original statement is relatively weaker, an iterative application of pigeonhole principle/ theory of ultrafilters shows that this statement is sufficient to conclude the set is $IP^\star$). As a consequence, we have this collection as an additively syndetic set. In this article, we show that this collection is also a multiplicative syndetic set. In our proof, we use combinatorial arguments and the tools from the algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroups (for details see [N. Hindman, and D. Strauss: Algebra in the Stone-Čech Compactification: Theory and Applications, second edition, de Gruyter, Berlin,2012.]).

Monochromatic Polynomial sumset structures on $\mathbb{N}$: an ultrafilter proof
Recently, using machinery's from Ergodic theory, Z. Lian, and R. Xiao proved if $P$ is any polynomial with no constant term, then for every finite coloring of $\mathbb{N}$, there exists two infinite subsets $B,C$ of $\mathbb{N}$ such that the set $\{P(b)+P(c):b\in B, c\in C\}$ is monochromatic. In this article we improve their result by proving that instead of taking such polynomials we can choose any function $f$ having the property that $f(\mathbb{N})\setminus \mathbb{N}$ is finite. We use ultrafilter techniques to prove our result.

Ultrafilters, Transversals, and the Hat Game
Geschke, Lubarsky, and Rahn in ``Choice and the Hat Game''~\cite{choice-and-the-hat-game} generalize the classic hat game puzzle to infinitely-many players and ask whether every model of set theory without choice in which the optimal solution can be carried out contains either a nonprincipal ultrafilter on $\mathbb N$ or else a Vitali set. A negative answer is obtained here by constructing a model in which there is an optimal solution to the hat game puzzle but no nonprincipal ultrafilter on $\mathbb N$ and no Vitali set. This is accomplished in a more general setting, establishing that for any Borel bipartite graph $Γ$ not embedding some $K_{n,ω_1}$ and with countable colouring number there is a model of $\mbox{ZF} + \mbox{DC}$ in which $Γ$ has a $2$-colouring but there is no ultrafilter as above or Vitali set. The same conclusion applies to the natural generalization of the hat game to an arbitrary finite number of hat colours.

Matroid, Ideal, Ultrafilter, Tangle, and so on: Reconsideration of Obstruction to linear decomposition
Published in International Journal of Mathematics Trends and Technology (IJMTT), vol. 70, no. 7, pp. 18-29, 2024 • View Publication • BIB
The investigation of width parameters in both graph and algebraic contexts has attracted considerable interest. Among these parameters, the linear branch width has emerged as a crucial measure. In this concise paper, we explore the concept of linear decomposition, specifically focusing on the single filter in a connectivity system. Additionally, we examine the relevance of matroids, antimatroids, and greedoids in the context of connectivity systems. Our primary objective in this study is to shed light on the impediments to linear decomposition from multiple perspectives.

Exponentiations of ultrafilters
Published • View Publication • BIB
In recent years, several problems regarding the partition regularity of exponential configurations have been studied in the literature, in some cases using the properties of specific ultrafilters. In this paper, we start to lay down the foundations of a general theory of exponentiations of ultrafilters, with a particular focus on their combinatorial properties and the existence of idempotents.

Exploring two concepts: branch decomposition and weak ultrafilter on connectivity system
This paper explores two fundamental concepts: branch width and weak ultrafilter. Branch width is a significant graph width parameter that measures the degree of connectivity in a graph using a branch decomposition and a symmetric submodular function. Weak ultrafilter, introduced as a weakened definition of an ultrafilter, plays a vital role in interpreting defaults in logic. We introduce the concept of Weak Ultrafilter on the connectivity system (X, f) and demonstrate its duality with branch decomposition. This study enhances our understanding of these concepts in graph combinatorial and logical contexts.

Reconsideration of Tangle and Ultrafilter using Separation and Partition
Published in International Journal of Mathematics Trends and Technology (IJMTT), vol. 70, no. 7, pp. 5-12, 2024 • View Publication • BIB
Tangle is a concept in graph theory that has a dual relationship with branch-width which is well-known graph width parameter. Ultrafilter, a fundamental notion in mathematics, is similarly known to have a dual relationship with branch-width when extended to a connectivity system (X, f). We will reconsider these concepts using separation and partition.

Stable ordered-union versus selective ultrafilters
Published • View Publication • BIB
It will be shown to be consistent that there are at least two non-isomorphic selective ultrafilters, but no stable ordered-union ultrafilters. This answers a question of Blass from his 1987 paper which introduced the concept of a stable ordered-union ultrafilter.

Some remarks on Alweiss's technique and monochromatic configuration of the form $\left\{ x,y,x+y,x\cdot y\right\} $ over Rationals
In this article, we will explore a recent method of Alweiss \cite{key-1} using ultrafilter technique to study monochromatic partition regular structure of the form $\left\{ x,y,x+y,x\cdot y\right\} $ over rationals, which is recently proved by Bowen, and Sabok in \cite{key-17}. Our methods explore that each member of combinatorially rich ultrafilters contains these types of configurations. Besides this, we will also prove that for any $n\in\mathbb{N},$ these sets will contain configuration of the form $\left\{ x,y,x+y,x\cdot y^{n}\right\}$, partially proved by Xiao in \cite{key-25}.

On Proper Colorings of Functions
We investigate the infinite version of the $k$-switch problem of Greenwell and Lovász. Given infinite cardinals $κ$ and $λ$, for functions $x,y\in {}^λκ$ we say that they are totally different if $x(i)\ne y(i)$ for each $i\in λ$. A function $F:{}^λκ\longrightarrow κ $ is a proper coloring if $F(x)\ne F(y)$ whenever $x$ and $y$ are totally different elements of ${}^λκ $. We say that $F$ is weakly uniform iff there are pairwise totally different functions $\{r_α:α<κ\}\subset {}^λκ$ such that $F(r_α)=α$; $F$ is tight if there is no proper coloring $G:{}^λκ\longrightarrow κ$ such that there is exactly one $x\in {}^λκ$ with $G(x)\ne F(x)$. We show that given a proper coloring $F:{}^λκ\to κ$, the following statements are equivalent $F$ is weakly uniform, there is a $κ ^{+}$-complete ultrafilter $\mathscr{U}$ on $λ$ and there is a permutation $π\in Symm(κ)$ such that for each $x\in {}^λκ$ we have $$F(x)=π(α)\ \Longleftrightarrow \ \{i\in λ: x(i)=α\} \in \mathscr{U}.$$ We also show that there are tight proper colorings which cannot be obtained such a way.

Monochromatic exponential triples: an ultrafilter proof
Published • View Publication • BIB
We present a short ultrafilter proof of the existence of monochromatic exponential triples $\{a, b, b^a\}$ in any finite coloring of the natural numbers. The proof is given from scratch and uses only Ramsey's theorem, the notion of asymptotic density and the definition of ultrafilter as prerequisites. We then generalize the construction using a special ultrafilter whose existence is well known in the algebra of ultrafilters, and prove a new result on the existence of infinite monochromatic exponential patterns.
Dynamical notions along filters
We study the localization along a filter of several dynamical notions. This generalizes and extends similar localizations that have been considered in the literature, e.g. near 0 and near an idempotent. Definitions and basic properties of F-syndetic, piecewise F-syndetic, collectionwise F-piecewise syndetic, F-quasi central and F-central sets and their relations with F-uniformly recurrent points and ultrafilters are studied. We provide also the nonstandard characterizations of some of the above notions and we prove the partition regularity of several nonlinear equations along filters under mild general assumptions.

An infinitary Zero sum theorem
Erdős-Ginzburg-Ziv theorem says that if there are 2n-1 number is given, then there are n numbers such that their sum is divided by n. We will connect this theorem with the Ramsey theoretic large sets and will prove an infinitary version of this theorem. In our proof we will use the methods of ultrafilters. But one may proceed using methods of Topological dynamics.

Parametrizing the Ramsey theory of vector spaces I: Discrete spaces
We show that the Ramsey theory of block sequences in infinite-dimensional discrete vector spaces can be parametrized by perfect sets. As special cases, we prove combinatorial dichotomies for definable families of partitions and linear transformations on those spaces. We also consider the extent to which analogues of selective ultrafilters in this setting are preserved by Sacks forcing.

Abstract colorings, games and ultrafilters
Published • View Publication • BIB
The main result provide a common generalization for Ramsey-type theorems concerning finite colorings of edge sets of complete graphs with vertices in infinite semigroups. We capture the essence of theorems proved in different fields: for natural numbers due to Milliken--Tylor, Deuber--Hindman, Bergelson--Hindman, for combinatorial covering properties due to Scheepers and Tsaban, and local properties in function spaces due to Scheepers. To this end, we use idempotent ultrafilters in the Čech--Stone compactifications of discrete infinite semigroups and topological games. The research is motivated by the recent breakthrough work of Tsaban about colorings and the Menger covering property.

Infinite monochromatic patterns in the integers
Published • View Publication • BIB
We show the existence of several infinite monochromatic patterns in the integers obtained as values of suitable symmetric polynomials. The simplest example is the following. For every finite coloring of the natural numbers $\mathbb{N}=C_1\cup\ldots\cup C_r$, there exists an increasing sequence $a<b<c<\ldots$ such that all elements below are monochromatic, that is, they belong to the same $C_i$: $$a,b,c,\ldots, a+b+ab, a+c+ac, b+c+bc,\ldots,a+b+c+ab+ac+bc+abc,\ldots.$$ The proofs use algebra in the space of ultrafilters $β\mathbb{Z}$.

Rado equations solved by linear combinations of idempotent ultrafilters
Published • View Publication • BIB
We fully characterise the solvability of Rado equations inside linear combinations $a_{1}\U\oplus\dots\oplus a_{n}\U$ of idempotent ultrafilters $\U\inβ\Z$ by exploiting known relations between such combinations and strings of integers. This generalises a partial characterization previously obtained by Mauro Di Nasso.

Partition regularity of polynomial systems near zero
Published • View Publication • BIB
Recently, S.~Kanti Patra and Md.~Moid Shaik proved the existence of monochromatic solutions to systems of polynomial equations near zero for particular dense subsemigroups $S$ of $((0,\infty),+)$. We extend their results to a much larger class of systems whilst weakening the requests on $S$, using solely basic results about ultrafilters.

A combinatorial approach to central to theorem
H. Furstenberg introduced the notion of central set in terms of topological dynamics and established the central set theorem. The essence of central set theorem is that it is the simultaneous extension of van der Waerden's theorem and Hindman's theorem. Later V. Bergelson and N. Hindman established a connection between central sets and the algebra of Stone-cech compactification and proved that the central sets are the member of minimal idempotent ultrafilter of discrete semigroup. In some subsequent papers the central set theorem has been studied more deeply and some generalizations has been established. Those works use the techniques of Stone-Cech compactification of discrete semigroup. In this work we will prove central set theorem via combinatorial approach using the combinatorial characterization of central set established by N. Hindman, A. Malkeki and D. Strauss. Though we will use the combinatorial approach but the technique of the proof is similar to the proof of D. De, N. Hindman, D. Strauss.

Recently Polynomial Central Set Theorem has been proved by V. Bergelson, J. H. Johnson Jr. and J. Moreira. In this article, we will prove Polynomial Central Set Theorem near zero.
