Parallelogram polyominoes, partially labelled Dyck paths, and the Delta conjecture
We introduce area, bounce and dinv statistics on decorated parallelogram polyominoes, and prove that some of their q,t-enumerators match $\langle Δ_{h_m} e_{n+1}, s_{k+1,1^{n-k}} \rangle$, extending in this way the work in (Aval et al. 2014). Also, we provide a bijective connection between decorated parallelogram polyominoes and decorated labelled Dyck paths, which allows us to prove the combinatorial interpretation of the coefficient $\langleΔ_{e_{m+n-k-1}}'e_{m+n}, h_m h_n \rangle$ predicted by the Delta conjecture in (Haglund et al. 2015). Finally, we define a statistic pmaj on partially labelled Dyck paths, which provides another conjectural combinatorial interpretation of $Δ_{h_{\ell}}Δ_{e_{n-k-1}}'e_n$, cf. (Haglund et al. 2015).
This is an extended abstract of (D'Adderio, Iraci 2017): this forthcoming publication will have proofs and additional details and results.
Rational Catalan polynomials and rank words
For $m,n$ coprime we introduce a new statistic skip on $(m,n)$-rational Dyck paths and give a fast way to compute dinv and skip statistics. We also introduce $(m,n)$-rank words, which are in one-to-one correspondence with $(m,n)$-Dyck paths. Defining an equivalence relation on pairs of certain ranks in a rank word, we prove that the number of equivalence classes is the skips of the rank word, and the skips of the corresponding Dyck path. We construct a homogeneous generating function $W_{m,n}(q,t,b)$ using statistics area, dinv and skip, where $W_{m,n}(q,t,1)=C_{m,n}(q,t)$, the rational Catalan polynomial. We then give an explicit formula for $(3,n)$-rational Catalan polynomials and prove they are $q,t$-symmetric.

We give a new combinatorial proof of the well known result that the dinv of an $(m,n)$-Dyck path is equal to the area of its sweep map image. The first proof of this remarkable identity for co-prime $(m,n)$ is due to Loehr and Warrington. There is also a second proof (in the co-prime case) due to Gorsky and Mazin and a third proof due to Mazin.
The $(m,n)$-rational $q, t$-Catalan polynomials for $m=3$ and their $q,t$-symmetry

We introduce a new statistic, skip, on rational $(3,n)$-Dyck paths and define a marked rank word for each path when $n$ is not a multiple of 3. If a triple of valid statistics (area, skip, dinv) are given, we have an algorithm to construct the marked rank word corresponding to the triple. By considering all valid triples we give an explicit formula for the $(m,n)$-rational $q,t$-Catalan polynomials when $m=3$. Then there is a natural bijection on the triples of statistics (area, skips, dinv) which exchanges the statistics area and dinv while fixing the skip. Thus we prove the $q,t$-symmetry of $(m,n)$-rational $q, t$-Catalan polynomials for $m=3$.

We introduce type C parking functions, encoded as vertically labelled lattice paths and endowed with a statistic dinv'. We define a bijection from type C parking functions to regions of the Shi arrangement of type C, encoded as diagonally labelled ballot paths and endowed with a natural statistic area'. This bijection is a natural analogue of the zeta map of Haglund and Loehr and maps dinv' to area'. We give three different descriptions of it.

Recent results have placed the classical shuffle conjecture of Haglund et al. in a broader context of an infinite family of conjectures about parking functions in any rectangular lattice. The combinatorial side of the new conjectures has been defined using a complicated generalization of the dinv statistic which is composed of three parts and which is not obviously non-negative. Here we simplify the definition of dinv, prove that it is always non-negative, and give a geometric description of the statistic in the style of the classical case. We go on to show that in the n x (n+1) lattice, parking functions satisfy a fermionic formula that is similar to the one given in the classical case by Haglund and Loehr.

We introduce a new approach to the enumeration of rational slope parking functions with respect to the area and a generalized dinv statistics, and relate the combinatorics of parking functions to that of affine permutations. We relate our construction to two previously known combinatorial constructions: Haglund's bijection exchanging the pairs of statistics (area, dinv) and (bounce, area) on Dyck paths, and Pak-Stanley labeling of the regions of k-Shi hyperplane arrangements by k-parking functions. Essentially, our approach can be viewed as a generalization and a unification of these two constructions. We also relate our combinatorial constructions to representation theory. We derive new formulas for the Poincare polynomials of certain affine Springer fibers and describe a connection to the theory of finite dimensional representations of DAHA and nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials.

We study the statistics area, bounce and dinv on the set of parallelogram polyominoes having a rectangular m times n bounding box. We show that the bi-statistics (area, bounce) and (area, dinv) give rise to the same q,t-analogue of Narayana numbers which was introduced by two of the authors in [arXiv:1208.0024]. We prove the main conjectures of that paper: the q,t-Narayana polynomials are symmetric in both q and t, and m and n. This is accomplished by providing a symmetric functions interpretation of the q,t-Narayana polynomials which relates them to the famous diagonal harmonics.

We prove here that the polynomial <nabla(C_p(1)), e_a h_b h_c> q, t-enumerates, by the statistics dinv and area, the parking functions whose supporting Dyck path touches the main diagonal according to the composition p of size a + b + c and have a reading word which is a shuffle of one decreasing word and two increasing words of respective sizes a, b, c. Here Cp(1) is a rescaled Hall-Littlewood polynomial and "nabla" is the Macdonald eigenoperator introduced in [1]. This is our latest progress in a continued effort to settle the decade old shuffle conjecture of [14]. It includes as special cases all previous results connected with this conjecture such as the q, t-Catalan [3] and the Schroder and h, h results of Haglund in [12] as well as their compositional refinements recently obtained in [9] and [10]. It also confirms the possibility that the approach adopted in [9] and [10] has the potential to yield a resolution of the shuffle parking function conjecture as well as its compositional refinement more recently proposed by Haglund, Morse and Zabrocki in [15].
A new `dinv' arising from the two part case of the Shuffle Conjecture

In a recent paper J. Haglund showed that a certain symmetric function expresion enumerates by t^{area} q^{dinv} of the parking functions whose diagonal word is in the shuffle of 12...j and j+1...j+n with k of the cars j+1,...,j+n in the main diagonal including car j+n in the cell (1,1). In view of some recent conjectures of Haglund-Morse-Zabrocki it is natural to conjecture that replacing E_{n,k} by the modified Hall-Littlewood functions would yield a polynomial that enumerates the same collection of parking functions but now restricted by the requirement that the Dyck path supporting cars j+1,...,j+n hits the diagonal according to the composition p=(p_1,p_2,...,p_k). We prove here this conjecture by deriving a recursion for the symmetric function expression then using this recursion to construct a new dinv statistic we will denote ndinv and show that this polynomial enumerates the latter parking functions by t^{area} q^{ndinv}.
