Real stability of layer-refined antichain polynomials for three-chain products with a two-element factor
For all positive integers $n,k$, we prove that the layer-refined antichain polynomial of the product poset $[2]\times[n]\times[k]$ is real stable. Jacobi-polynomial interlacing further shows that its diagonal specialization, the ordinary antichain polynomial of the same poset, has only simple, strictly negative zeros. For the special family $[2]\times[m]\times[m+1]$, explicit reciprocal identities give palindromicity; reciprocal pairing of the simple negative zeros then shows that every coefficient in the gamma expansion is strictly positive. Thus we prove Conjecture 4.3 of Ding and Dong and resolve all parts of their Conjecture 4.5, while strengthening its stated gamma-positivity consequence. The enumerative input is an explicit first-crossing reflection for two lattice paths, specialized from work of Krattenthaler and Sulanke.
Discrete Concavity of Token-Graph Spectral Radii via Lorentzian Semigroups
Let $F_k(G)$ be the $k$-token graph of a finite graph with nonnegative edge weights, and let $A_k$ and $D_k$ be its weighted adjacency and degree matrices. For every $-1\leq\vartheta\leq1$, we prove that $k\mapstoλ_{\max}(A_k+\vartheta D_k)$ is discretely concave. Complement symmetry then makes this sequence nondecreasing up to the middle level. At $\vartheta=1$ and $\vartheta=0$, this gives the signless-Laplacian and adjacency spectral-radius monotonicity conjectures of Apte, Parekh, and Sud. The spectral result follows from a finite-time theorem: for every $t\geq0$, the heat contents $\binom{n}{k}^{-1}\mathbf{1}^{*}e^{t(A_k+\vartheta D_k)}\mathbf{1}$ are log-concave in $k$. We encode all token levels in one Lorentzian polynomial. A four-variable operator symbol proves preservation by each edge heat gate, and the Lie-Trotter formula passes this preservation to the full semigroup. Large-time growth rates recover the top eigenvalues. The same construction also yields Lorentzian polynomials from top spectral projections. Finally, we show that the local symbol certifies exactly the parameter range $[-1,1]$.
Binary Voltage Covers of $K(10,3)$: Cohomology, Symmetry Orbits, and a Locally $K(7,3)$ Graph
We construct a connected graph on 240 vertices in which every open neighborhood is isomorphic to $K(7,3)$. The graph arises as a binary voltage cover of $K(10,3)$. More generally, the gauge classes of local-neighborhood-preserving binary voltage covers over the fixed labeled base $K(10,3)$ are naturally identified with $H^1(M_3(10);\mathbb{F}_2)$, a vector space of dimension 42. Quotienting by the natural $S_{10}$ action gives 1,245,395 orbits, including 1,245,394 nonzero orbits, each consisting of connected covers. The cohomology class $[α]$ of the displayed 240-vertex graph has $S_{10}$-orbit size 126 and $\operatorname{Stab}_{S_{10}}([α])\cong S_5\wr C_2$. Thus fixed-base covers are classified cohomologically, while allowing base relabeling gives the stated $S_{10}$-orbit set.
