For a graph $G=(V,E)$, we call a subset $ S\subseteq V \cup E$ a total mixed dominating set of $G$ if each element of $V \cup E$ is either adjacent or incident to an element of $S$, and the total mixed domination number $γ_{tm}(G)$ of $G$ is the minimum cardinality of a total mixed dominating set of $G$. In this paper, we initiate to study the total mixed domination number of a connected graph by giving some tight bounds in terms of some parameters such as order and total domination numbers of the graph and its line graph. Then we discuss on the relation between total mixed domination number of a graph and its diameter. Studing of this number in trees is our next work. Also we show that the total mixed domination number of a graph is equale to the total domination number of a graph which is obtained by the graph. Giving the total mixed domination numbers of some special graphs is our last work.

The reciprocal degree resistance distance index of a connected graph $G$ is defined as $RDR(G)=\sum\limits_{\{u,v\}\subseteq V(G)}\frac {d_G(u)+d_G(v)}{r_G(u,v)}$, where $r_G(u,v)$ is the resistance distance between vertices $u$ and $v$ in $G$. Let $\mathscr {U}_n$ denote the set of unicyclic graphs with $n$ vertices. We study the graph with maximum reciprocal degree resistance distance index among all graphs in $\mathscr {U}_n$, and characterize the corresponding extremal graph.

The \emph{graph grabbing game} is a two-player game on a weighted connected graph in which two players, Alice and Bob, alternatively remove non-cut vertices one by one to gain the weights on them. Alice wins the game if she gains at least half of the total weights. In this paper, we show that on every connected even graph which does contain a fully spiked cycle as an induced subgraph, Alice always has a winning strategy with an arbitrary weight function whose codomain is $\{0,1\}$. In addition, we give a list of forbidden subgraph for the family of graphs on which Alice has a winning strategy with an arbitrary weight function whose codomain is $\{0,1\}$.
Loop conditions with strongly connected graphs
We prove that the existence of a term $s$ satisfying $s(r,a,r,e) = s(a,r,e,a)$ in a general algebraic structure is equivalent to an existence of a term $t$ satisfying $t(x,x,y,y,z,z)=t(y,z,z,x,x,y)$. As a consequence of a general version of this theorem and previous results we get that each strongly connected digraph of algebraic length one, which is compatible with an operation $t$ satisfying an identity of the from $t(\ldots)=t(\ldots)$, has a loop.

Let $G$ be a (multi)graph of order $n$ and let $u,v$ be vertices of $G$. The maximum number of internally disjoint $u$-$v$ paths in $G$ is denoted by $κ_G(u,v)$, and the maximum number of edge-disjoint $u$-$v$ paths in $G$ is denoted by $λ_G (u,v)$. The average connectivity of $G$ is defined by $\overlineκ(G)=\sum_{\{u,v\}\subseteq V(G)} κ_G(u,v)/\tbinom{n}{2},$ and the average edge-connectivity of $G$ is defined by $\overlineλ(G)=\sum_{\{u,v\}\subseteq V(G)} λ_G(u,v)/\tbinom{n}{2}$. A graph $G$ is called ideally connected if $κ_G(u,v)=\min\{\mathrm{deg}(u),\mathrm{deg}(v)\}$ for all pairs of vertices $\{u,v\}$ of $G$.
We prove that every minimally $2$-connected graph of order $n$ with largest average connectivity is bipartite, with the set of vertices of degree $2$ and the set of vertices of degree at least $3$ being the partite sets. We use this structure to prove that $\overlineκ(G)<\tfrac{9}{4}$ for any minimally $2$-connected graph $G$. This bound is asymptotically tight, and we prove that every extremal graph of order $n$ is obtained from some ideally connected nearly regular graph on roughly $n/4$ vertices and $3n/4$ edges by subdividing every edge. We also prove that $\overlineλ(G)<\tfrac{9}{4}$ for any minimally $2$-edge-connected graph $G$, and provide a similar characterization of the extremal graphs.

The \emph{critical} group of a finite connected graph is an abelian group defined by the Smith normal form of its Laplacian. Let $q$ be a power of a prime and $H$ be a multiplicative subgroup of $K=\mathbb{F}_{q}$. By $\mathrm{Cay}(K,H)$ we denote the Cayley graph on the additive group of $K$ with `connection' set $H$. A strongly regular graph of the form $\mathrm{Cay}(K,H)$ is called a \emph{cyclotomic strongly regular graph}. Let $p$ and $\ell >2$ be primes such that $p$ is primitive $\pmod{\ell}$. We compute the \emph{critical} groups of a family of \emph{cyclotomic strongly regular graphs} for which $q=p^{(\ell-1)t}$ (with $t\in \mathbb{N}$) and $H$ is the unique multiplicative subgroup of order $k=\frac{q-1}{\ell}$. These graphs were first discovered by van Lint and Schrijver in \cite{VS}.
A note on connectivity of splitting matroids
Fleischner introduced the idea of splitting a vertex of degree at least three in a connected graph and used the operation to characterize Eulerian graphs. Raghunathan et. al. extended the splitting operation from graphs to binary matroids. It has been studied that splitting operation, in general, may not preserve the connectedness of the binary matroid. Interestingly, it is true that the splitting matroid of a disconnected matroid may be connected. In this paper, we characterize the binary disconnected matroids whose splitting matroid is connected.
Wiener index and Steiner 3-Wiener index of a graph
Let $S$ be a set of vertices of a connected graph $G$. The Steiner distance of $S$ is the minimum size of a connected subgraph of $G$ containing all the vertices of $S$. The sum of all Steiner distances on sets of size $k$ is called the Steiner $k$-Wiener index, hence for $k=2$ we get the Wiener index. The modular graphs are graphs in which every three vertices $x, y$ and $z$ have at least one median vertex $m(x,y,z)$ that belongs to shortest paths between each pair of $x, y$ and $z$. The Steiner 3-Wiener index of a modular graph is expressed in terms of its Wiener index. As a corollary formulae for the Steiner 3-Wiener index of Fibonacci and Lucas cubes are obtained.
On the Reliability Roots of Simplicial Complexes and Matroids

Assume that the vertices of a graph $G$ are always operational, but the edges of $G$ fail independently with probability $q \in[0,1]$. The \emph{all-terminal reliability} of $G$ is the probability that the resulting subgraph is connected. The all-terminal reliability can be formulated into a polynomial in $q$, and it was conjectured \cite{BC1} that all the roots of (nonzero) reliability polynomials fall inside the closed unit disk. It has since been shown that there exist some connected graphs which have their reliability roots outside the closed unit disk, but these examples seem to be few and far between, and the roots are only barely outside the disk. In this paper we generalize the notion of reliability to simplicial complexes and matroids and investigate when, for small simplicial complexes and matroids, the roots fall inside the closed unit disk.

The packing chromatic number $χ_ρ(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the smallest integer $c$ such that the vertex set $V(G)$ can be partitioned into sets $X_1, . . . , X_c$, with the condition that vertices in $X_i$ have pairwise distance greater than $i$. In this paper, we consider the packing chromatic number of several families of Sierpinski-type graphs. We establish the packing chromatic numbers of generalized Sierpinski graphs $S^n_G$ where $G$ is a path or a cycle (with exception of a cycle of length five) as well as a connected graph of order four. Furthermore, we prove that the packing chromatic number in the family of Sierpinski-triangle graphs $ST_4^n$ is bounded from above by 20.

An independent broadcast on a connected graph $G$ is a function $f:V(G)\to \mathbb{N}_0$ such that, for every vertex $x$ of $G$, the value $f(x)$ is at most the eccentricity of $x$ in $G$, and $f(x)>0$ implies that $f(y)=0$ for every vertex $y$ of $G$ within distance at most $f(x)$ from $x$. The broadcast independence number $α_b(G)$ of $G$ is the largest weight $\sum\limits_{x\in V(G)}f(x)$ of an independent broadcast $f$ on $G$. Clearly, $α_b(G)$ is at least the independence number $α(G)$ for every connected graph $G$. Our main result implies $α_b(G)\leq 4α(G)$. We prove a tight inequality and characterize all extremal graphs.

It is known that $α(G)\leq α_b(G)\leq 4α(G)$ for every connected graph $G$, where $α(G)$ is the independence number of $G$. If $G$ has girth $g$ and minimum degree $δ$, we show that $α_b(G)\leq 2α(G)$ provided that $g\geq 6$ and $δ\geq 3$ or that $g\geq 4$ and $δ\geq 5$. Furthermore, we show that, for every positive integer $k$, there is a connected graph $G$ of girth at least $k$ and minimum degree at least $k$ such that $α_b(G)\geq 2\left(1-\frac{1}{k}\right)α(G)$. Our results imply that lower bounds on the girth and the minimum degree of a connected graph $G$ can lower the fraction $\frac{α_b(G)}{α(G)}$ from $4$ below $2$, but not any further.

Let $G=(V, E)$ be a connected graph. Given a vertex $v\in V$ and an edge $e=uw\in E$, the distance between $v$ and $e$ is defined as $d_G(e,v)=\min\{d_G(u,v),d_G(w,v)\}$. A nonempty set $S\subset V$ is an edge metric generator for $G$ if for any two edges $e_1,e_2\in E$ there is a vertex $w\in S$ such that $d_G(w,e_1)\ne d_G(w,e_2)$. The minimum cardinality of any edge metric generator for a graph $G$ is the edge metric dimension of $G$. The edge metric dimension of the join, lexicographic and corona product of graphs is studied in this article.
On minimal Ramsey graphs and Ramsey equivalence in multiple colours

For an integer $q\ge 2$, a graph $G$ is called $q$-Ramsey for a graph $H$ if every $q$-colouring of the edges of $G$ contains a monochromatic copy of $H$. If $G$ is $q$-Ramsey for $H$, yet no proper subgraph of $G$ has this property then $G$ is called $q$-Ramsey-minimal for $H$. Generalising a statement by Burr, Nešetřil and Rödl from 1977 we prove that, for $q\ge 3$, if $G$ is a graph that is not $q$-Ramsey for some graph $H$ then $G$ is contained as an induced subgraph in an infinite number of $q$-Ramsey-minimal graphs for $H$, as long as $H$ is $3$-connected or isomorphic to the triangle. For such $H$, the following are some consequences.
(1) For $2\le r< q$, every $r$-Ramsey-minimal graph for $H$ is contained as an induced subgraph in an infinite number of $q$-Ramsey-minimal graphs for $H$.
(2) For every $q\ge 3$, there are $q$-Ramsey-minimal graphs for $H$ of arbitrarily large maximum degree, genus, and chromatic number.
(3) The collection $\{{\cal M}_q(H) : H \text{ is 3-connected or } K_3\}$ forms an antichain with respect to the subset relation, where ${\cal M}_q(H)$ denotes the set of all graphs that are $q$-Ramsey-minimal for $H$.
We also address the question which pairs of graphs satisfy ${\cal M}_q(H_1)={\cal M}_q(H_2)$, in which case $H_1$ and $H_2$ are called $q$-equivalent. We show that two graphs $H_1$ and $H_2$ are $q$-equivalent for even $q$ if they are $2$-equivalent, and that in general $q$-equivalence for some $q\ge 3$ does not necessarily imply $2$-equivalence. Finally we indicate that for connected graphs this implication may hold: Results by Nešetřil and Rödl and by Fox, Grinshpun, Liebenau, Person and Szabó imply that the complete graph is not $2$-equivalent to any other connected graph. We prove that this is the case for an arbitrary number of colours.
Domination structure in 3-connected graphs
From a recent perspective, the structure of a 3-connected graph is studied in this paper. It stipulates the minimum dominating set of a 3-connected graph. Also, we count the number of structures, as a consequence, the upper bound is obtained. By it, the minimum dominating set of a 3-connected graph is determined in polynomial time.
On Pareto eigenvalue of distance matrix of graphs
In this article, we study Pareto eigenvalues of distance matrix of connected graphs and show that the non zero entries of every distance Pareto eigenvector of a tree forms a strictly convex function on the forest generated by the vertices corresponding to the non zero entries of the vector. Besides we find the minimum number of possible distance Pareto eigenvalue of a connected graph and establish lower bounds for $n$ largest distance Pareto eigenvalues of a connected graph of order $n.$ Finally, we discuss some bounds for the second largest distance Pareto eigenvalue and find graphs with optimal second largest distance Pareto eigenvalue.
On the largest $A_α$-spectral radius of cacti
Let $A(G)$ be the adjacent matrix and $D(G)$ the diagonal matrix of the degrees of a graph $G$, respectively. For $0 \leq α\leq 1$, the $A_α$ matrix $A_α(G) = αD(G) +(1-α)A(G)$ is given by Nikiforov. Clearly, $A_{0} (G)$ is the adjacent matrix and $2 A_{\frac{1}{2}}$ is the signless Laplacian matrix. A cactus is a connected graph such that any two of its cycles have at most one common vertex, that is an extension of the tree. The $A_α$-spectral radius of a cactus graph with $n$ vertices and $k$ cycles is explored. The outcomes obtained in this paper can imply previous bounds of Nikiforov et al., and Lovász and Pelikán. In addition, the corresponding extremal graphs are determined. Furthermore, we proposed all eigenvalues of such extremal cacti. Our results extended and enriched previous known results.

We describe an efficient algorithm that determines the broadcast independence number of a given tree. Furthermore, we show NP-hardness of the broadcast independence number for planar graphs of maximum degree four, and hardness of approximation for general graphs. Our results solve problems posed by Dunbar, Erwin, Haynes, Hedetniemi, and Hedetniemi (2006), Hedetniemi (2006), and Ahmane, Bouchemakh, Sopena (2018).
